Publisher's Summary

Alexia D'Clere didn't ask to be Protector of the Spear, but after her dying mother gave her the tiny metal object and made her promise to keep it safe, she had no choice. Orphaned at age eight, she began to take over the running of her parents' castle with the help of a trusted steward. Yet when a plot to murder her was revealed, a friar whisked her away to live hidden in the forest. There she learned to shoot expertly with a bow and arrow and hone her skills to see into the spirit realm.

Now, at 18, Alexia continues to keep the Spear protected. With her powers of spiritual discernment and her skill as an archer, she is no match for those who come for the spear. That is until she meets Ronar LePeine, one of the King's elite guard.

Ronar desires nothing more than to do his duty to God and King and pay penance for past sins. Yet a forest sprite with flaming red hair blocks his every move, all the while enchanting him like no other. Something evil lurks at Castle Luxley, and both Ronar and Alexia are soon thrust into the middle of a spiritual battle that will not only test their very beliefs but put them both in mortal danger.

    "Christian Thieves ? It Works!"

I loved the skills Mary Lu Tyndal uses to weave a Godly plot in with ungodly characters. The use of holy relics in an unholy time is realistic. The portrayal of the heavenly warriors and description of evil are realistic and scriptural. The narrator read 3/4 perfect. The first few chapters were too fast.

    "She Walks In Power"

It is no secret that I love books that deal with spiritual warfare and I think this element is often missing in Christian fiction. We sometimes forget that we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places~Ephesians 6:12.

She Walks In Power shows you that the enemy is working against you. He does not want to see you succeed. He will use people who are willing to carry out his dark plan because he wants to win. He won't give up. But, this story showed that servants of God have to be diligent, wise, prayer warriors who trust in Him and not man. God's plan may seem foolish at times, but trust that it will work for your good.

I admit that Alexia annoyed me at times. Her stubborn behavior made me angry and I wanted to shake some sense into her, but I understood that she was moved by her love for her sister and justice. Thank God Ronar had a level head. But, I was also angered by how easily those who were supposed to be ambassadors for Christ were abusing His love. They didn't really know Him and used His Word to keep others in bondage.

This is a awesome story and I could read it over and over again. The message that lies between the pages is one that everyone needs to read. It is life, love and peace. It is a story of how much the Messiah loves us and is fighting for us.

    "Good Book!"

The author took an interesting approach to the truth of spiritual battles between angels and demons. Though different and maybe a little too literal, I found it to be a very good book. It reminded me of the power of God, and how there are spiritual battles raging. Good book! I would definitely recommend it.
