Chase MacAdams is a hybrid with extraordinary abilities…Roxie is an Indian beauty, a shapeshifter on her mother's side and hales from a little known tribe in the Adirondack Mountains of New York. Her father is an immortal - Scottish by choice and time. Thus, a friend, Nikki Walker thinks and rightly so, that Roxie will help in the fight against WB and his vampire clan. They need help because the vicious vampire now has Count Dracula on their side and all of Europe is in danger. However, they have given Roxie a difficult task. The team wants her to visit with Chase in the highlands of Scotland and convince him to join in the fight. He has already refused, but Nikki doesn't think he will refuse Roxie MacBran. A PERFECT PARANORMAL ADVENTURE & A PERFECT ROMANCE

What a great ending to this unusual and very addictive Paranormal series and, if you've already listened to books 1 and 2, then you know just what a super supernatural treat is in store for you. WB has his evil plans and, with the help of Dracula, they're all successfully being carried out and he means to get World domination. So beautiful Immortal kick-ass Shapeshifter Roxie has joined the fight against him and is sent to enlist the help of a born-Hybrid Highlander but when she meets him he is much much more - he's a Scottish hunk..... all muscle, handsome, sexy and lust-on-legs with an accent to die for (enough! I'm drooling here).

Chase, a Billionaire recluse, wants to be left alone, society no longer interests him and he has his own history with Dracula and anyway he is going to get revenge his way but when Roxie came a knocking his sensuous Wolf side is instantly vera vera interested however his Vampire instincts makes him vera vera cautious and his Human side is just intrigued. But when they touch there's fireworks.....sparks, sizzles and zings and their wolves suddenly want out to play.... and much more. However, after not revealing the truth until it was too late, trust is going to be a BIG issue between these two and whilst making plans and battling evil they will also be battling their lust, their love, each other and the mating bond.

A 'can't stop listen' as their relationship is fun, frustrating, sensuous and sexy and it all plays out whilst the story unfolds..... magic, an 'other dimension' Wizard who makes wards and potions, Deadly Moon and previous characters are back, hush hush plans are made, there's a secret meeting with Dracula and when long-held secrets are finally revealed then, yes only then, let the battle commence.

Dual POV's, lots of different characters and emotions were all skilfully achieved by Valerie Gilbert which made a good book even better.

Worth a credit? An enjoyable and entertaining finale (for now) to the Shadow Vampire series which had great characters, action, intrigue, a loveable H & H, was romantic, sexy, exciting, amusing and all three in the series were very creditworthy.

Roxie is my favorite, she is so independent and bad ass! I could really connect with her. the whole Dracula part from the first book really gets pulled together in this book. I would definitely recommend it to anyone who loves paranormal romance!

I want more!

Wait, what do you mean it is over? I was totally into this world!!! I want more books!!! Trilogies are never enough for me, I want more!!

This was a really well crafted series, it took time to fully develop the world, but one it was in place it flowed. The mix of legends and new spins on them was intriguing. I am sad to see it all end. Can't we have a new big bad plot on the horizon? More lovely romances to develop? How about that fey stuff, I think it was still left hanging. Yeah, that's the ticket, let's follow that thread!

I love Roxie and all her sass! She is an awesome character, it is great to see a gal who will not be cowed. She has an independent streak as wide as the Grand Canyon. Love her boldness.

Chase on the other hand, really ticked me off for most of the book. He knew she was hiding something and then gets all self righteous when he is told the whole truth. He acted like a jerk and I really wanted her to kick him in the junk. Thankfully, he is charming enough to be forgiven, with appropriate apologies.

Yummy open door bedroom steam!! Oh yeah, it had a much smoother feel than the last book. It is more along the mainstream smexy, detailed but not as detailed as a full on erotic romance. Things heat up quicker in this book than others in the series. Ya might need a cool drink and fan while reading!

The whole big bad plot has a very nice resolution and a steady build. I love the side characters, especially Clara. Yeah she gets a little happy too! I have liked her almost from the first book and really wanted to see her find some sort of redemption. I wanted her to have her own book, but I will settle for this.

The mixed narrative is my favorite style, giving the two leads POV really helps understand their motives. There are times when things get murky and unclear in the narrative. a line here or there from a side character. More omniscient kind of description, it was jarring. I do like hearing from other characters besides the leads, but it needs to be in clear sections not jumpy lines.

I listened to the audiobook narrated by Valerie Gilbert, who has been with the whole series. Such a wealth of accents to keep up with, she really had her work cut out for her. The skill it takes to keep everything consistent and distinct, is really admirable. I love the smooth pace that flows with the story telling. She gives just enough energy to make the read sing. I love this combination of story and voice.

The whole spin on Dracula was fascinating. I am not sure how I feel about that resolution. It wasn't awful, but it doesn't have atonement for past wrongs. It is a difficult call, because you do get the feeling he isn't evil, just driven to things by anger. In the end he is given a measure of peace and so is the world.

Shifter!

Author Claudy Conn has outdone herself again. I absolutely LOVE the world she's created and yet it's over. I really hate trilogies and sagas. Claudy sucked me right into this world with the first two books but this story is my favorite. Claudy introduces several new characters like Chase and Rosie who team up with characters from the first two books. They must unite to destroy vampires who are trying to kill the human race. Another brilliant story, great storyline, details, and the majority of the characters are loveable. I really can't believe it's over and wish the author would start a new story from these three books, making it a series instead of a trilogy, please, pretty please.

The narrator, Valerie Gilbert has done another great job with her narration of this story. She brings this story to life, making you feel as if you're there in that world. Her voice is smooth, soothing, and you can feel all the emotions from the characters as she tells the story. I always look forward to listening to Valerie Gilbert and I look forward to hearing more stories she narrated. Overall, a 5 star rating and I will tell you that you'll want to get these 3 audiobooks. Another great book for the series!

Lots of all types of action going on in this one! Loved it! The narrator is still perfectly spot on with accents and portraying the right emotions. I am hoping and looking forward to more from this series. It is so great, romance, action, tons of sarcasm and wit! Who could ask for more?!
