Accountant Katie Kramer is a quintessential good girl - working hard, recycling diligently, all the while trying to ignore the feeling that she doesn't fit in anywhere. That's all she wants. Which explains why she just took a job in Wishful, California, working for Wilder Adventures and Expeditions. Waking up to find a magnificently built stranger towering over her bed - that part defies explanation.
The proof is irrefutable: Jill Shalvis is a USA Today best-selling author whose romantic fiction is one part steam, one part soul-lifting laughter. Penny Kline didn't come to Honduras on a pleasure trip. She's here to rescue her kidnapped niece, the only family she's got left. What she didn't plan on was walking into a covert ops mission - or being wrapped up in the hard-muscled arms of Rafe Ortega. The cool-as-ice operative's touch may get her all hot and bothered, but no man can have a hold on her heart until her niece is home where she belongs.
In this debut to an exciting new series, Lilah Young has lived in Sunshine, Idaho, all her life, while pilot-for-hire Brady Miller is just passing through. But he soon has Lilah abandoning her instincts and giving in to a primal desire. Contains mature themes.

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
I like Jill Shalvis books and this is no exception. The story has good flow and a nice plot. The connection between the family members makes you want to hear all of their stories.
Who was your favorite character and why?
I think Lily , since she has human flaws (junk food addiction) and a really big heart.
What does Karen White bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
She does a really good job of making you feel like different people are involved instead of just one person. Some narrator read the story and others put you in the story. She's one of the latter.

What did you love best about Second Chance Summer?
Jill does it again! Good humor, but you have to be in the mood for it. This is an easy listen of family loyalty and taking care of one another.
What did you like best about this story?
I liked the characters i.e. Mitch, gads his scenes were funny. Jonathan, "Lily Pad". All the brothers interaction when surrounded by humor were good. Author has a great way with simple words that paint a funny picture. I hope books #2 and #3 are just as funny.
What does Karen White bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
You can never get enough of Ms White as she is a great professional! Her males voices are as sexy as all the author's she reads intended them to be. She gets the nuances of a sexy male hunk. I did not buy the flood of books audible got from this author with a number of new readers. The reader samples were dull and seemed boring. Gads, audible and/ or author got smart and had Ms White read this series.See author Julie James for another great fun series. Ms White brings all the characters and fun to life. It was the Julie James series that got me hooked on this reader. Then on to this author
