Publisher's Summary

New York Times best-selling author Brenda Novak welcomes listeners to the town of Silver Springs, where surprises wait around every corner!

The search for her birth mother brought Cora Kelly to the New Horizons Boys Ranch. Getting a job there was easy enough, but confiding in Aiyana, the ranch's owner, that she's really her daughter? Cora's not sure she can do that, not unless she's confident the news will be welcomed. And once she gets to know Elijah Turner - Aiyana's adopted son and ranch manager - that decision becomes even more difficult.

Although Elijah can't deny his deep attraction to Cora, he's always struggled with trust. Anyone with his past would, and there's something about the ranch's newest employee that isn't exactly as it seems. But if the feelings she awakes in his guarded heart are any indication, she might be just what he's long been waiting for.

Even free it wasn’t good.

This story started out interesting but clearly has its issues early on. Being free because I’m in the romance package, I figured I had nothing to lose. WRONG! The story was a bit weird at best, but Veronica Worthington’s narration was HORRIBLE! No differentiation between male and female voices and she sounded like she came from the 1950’s. I always wonder, dont authors actually LISTEN to the performance of their books? Sometimes I think Not. Had I known, I would have skipped this one.

Great story!

This story kept me interested the entire way through. A lot of relationships start and end this way in the modern world. Loved it! Hard at times to tell the men apart, but not that big of a deal breaker for the story.

Man voice wasn't very manly

I loved the story, but had a hard time telling the man and female character apart.

First book by Brenda Novak

Would have been a five star book if the sex scenes had been left out! Not sure I will read other books, though I did enjoy the story.

Beautiful!

Where does Finding Our Forever rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

This was such a poignant story. I don't often listen to this type of story, so it's hard to quantify.

Who was your favorite character and why?

I can't tell you why my favorite character got the designation without giving away a lot of the story. Suffice it to say, they were a secondary character who played a pivotal role in Cora's life.

Which scene was your favorite?

The epilogue. I cried so hard, and felt so good, it's hard to explain!

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

I tried! I really did! I kept getting distracted! I finished it at 10 pm, the day after release day.

Any additional comments?

If you've ever felt a kinship with adoptive kids, or ever wanted to find your birth parents, you should read this book. I was the biological child of both of my parents, yet this book still totally slayed me! I loved the story, loved the voice-actress (who is easily a top ten in my world), and loved all of the back story Novak provided on her website.

Great read, good subject matter!

I loved this book. As usual, Brenda Novak showed great skills with character development. She effectively tackled a difficult and taboo subject matter in no uncertain terms. I highly recommend this book to fans of hers as well as to her new fans.
