Publisher's summary

A woman on the run collides with lethal danger in this GhostWalker novel by number one New York Times best-selling author Christine Feehan.

GhostWalker Kane Cannon is pure male - animalistic, sexual, protective, and instinctive - and his past missions have prepared him for anything. But his newest assignment, to rescue hostages in Mexico, plunges him into a hot zone he never anticipated: The hiding place of Rose Patterson - a fugitive,an ex-lover, a fellow GhostWalker pregnant with his child.

Rose is in flight from the insidious experiments that still haunt her dreams, and from the madman who’d do anything to take her child. Of all the GhostWalkers enlisted to hunt her down, Kane is the only one she can trust. But as their passion reignites, the stakes are raised. Because Kane is now a wanted man as well. And together they’re about to face the most desperate challenge of all: Staying together and staying alive.

Wonderful!!

I loved this book, I wasn't too happy with the last book in the series but this one puts her back on top!

This book has everything, a great love story with sexy steamy love scenes but in NO way do they take away from the action, and there IS action. The book was never slow and it took turns I did NOT see coming, which was nice.

This is a book that I will listen to again and recommend to friends and family.

Feehan's overbearing, beefcake fantasies :)

Christine Feehan is at it again with her overprotective beefcakes. In Ruthless Games, Kane Cannon is on a mission to find his baby and his baby momma and then keep them safe from evil, megalomaniac Peter Whitney. Rose, Kane Cannon???s baby momma, is on a mission to keep her baby safe and have a life. Passionate collisions happen as only Feehan can write them. If you are a fan of overbearing, beefcake, romance fantasies, you will like this book. Feehan always produces an enjoyable story and is a much better writer than Gena Showalter. If you like Feehan???s work, you will also enjoy Sherrilyn Kenyon and J. R. Ward. Tom Stechschulte is a solid narrator.

EVEN ROSES HAVE THORNS!

Would you listen to Ruthless Game again? Why?

From the very start of the story there was a military feel, plus lost love, team work and the study into loyaltly. Kan Cannon, Ghostwalker, was the mate of a female Ghostwalker named Rose. He had been looking for her and against all odds, he had never given up. Its a true study of being able to depend on someone you trust and building a future on just that!

What other book might you compare Ruthless Game to and why?

I have never read or listened to any book comparible to Ruthless Game with the plot switchs and the humor mixed with action/adventure.

What does Tom Stechschulte bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

I expected his narration to be fairly gruff from the way he started, but I was shortly surprised by his ability to give each character his own personality. He brings urgency, suspence, joy, humor and a feelling of character unity to the story.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

The point was when Ghostwalker Kane found out Rose was in the apartment complex after she had been missing for so long while carrying their child. He had never forgotten Rose, because she was more than just an assigned mate, He had fallen for her and if no one else got out of the hot zone, Rose would.

Great Story Bad Narrarator

Great story, Christine keeps suprising us with new plots and turns. BUT The Narrarator ruined it to often due to his interpation of the women as prissy weaklings. I wish I'd have read this book rather than listen to it! Very Sad I spent the money, will not listen to this narrarator ever again.

Great Listen!!

Was not sure i would like this since Street Game introduced the new team and it was confusing trying to keep up with all the new characters. This book was such a great read, I got to know the characters, I love Kane and Rose's story. Keep the coming!!!

Wonderful narration!!!!!

Tom Stechschulte has the PERFECT voice for these books. He makes the audio version work. I read each book and then listen to them and he really makes them come to life. When out of new listens the Ghostwalkers are my go to books when I am headed out on a long run. His voice is amazing. Keep up the great work!!!

When's the next book in the series!!!!

I couldn't wait for the next book in the GhostWalker series to come out and this one did not let me down. It might not be as good as some of the first books in the series but it was still a great listen, especially with Tom Stechschulte as narrator. This book starts out fast and pretty well keeps up the pace. Once again I'm back to waiting for the next book!

Wonderful Listen!

I really enjoyed the story. Another great installment in the series. I'm hoping the next installment is Javier & Rhianna's story. Needless-to-say, I am eagerly anticipating the next audiobook.

Story...great, reader...not so much.

Overall he is a good narrator, however he does not read female parts very well and he is not consistent with the male parts. If you start one way with a character in the original book continue that same voice throughout the whole series. Also he diminishes the females by making them appear weak and whiny. I would suggest that if he continues to read this series that there also be a female narrator to read the female parts. He just does not do them any justice.
