Publisher's summary

A defensive end for the San Francisco Sabers, Flynn Cassidy is used to being in the spotlight - he just doesn't enjoy it. But if getting in front of the cameras will help his new restaurant succeed, he's willing to do it. Now, if he could just meet a woman who loved him and not his fame.

After her divorce Amelia Lawrence is thrilled to start over as head chef at Ninety-Two. It's just the opportunity she needs to heat up her career - if only she wasn't wildly attracted to her sexy new boss. Their chemistry might be sizzling hot, but Amelia has no intention of being burned again.

Amelia is genuine and fun, and Flynn can't get enough of her - and Amelia loves every second she spends with the tough but tender Flynn. But trust is a hard-fought battle for both of them. Breaking the rules of contact and surrendering to their passion was easy, but are they willing to risk their hearts to win at the game of love?

loved it. I've listened to the series, this is the best book yet.!! on to the next book!!. I think a novella is needed. Reading other reviews, I found they did not do this series justice. I've loved both narrators and "loved '"or "liked a lot" ,all the books.

The Cassidy Brothers do it again!

I love the love story between all of Jaci's characters. You can totally picture the live not only in the main characters but the entire Cassidy clan. Thanks for another great book

Rules of Contact

I have really enjoyed every book in this series so far but this one left me feeling like something was lacking. Flynn has just opened his restaurant and even though he is still a star on the football field he devotes a lot of time to furthering the popularity of the restaurant. His head chef, Amelia, watches the women he has on his arm and how they hang on him until the cameras turn their way and then they sparkle and shine for the cameras. One after another, she watches him pick the wrong women until finally they are set up for a double date and their respective partners end up together. Karma finally brings them together...they had some chemistry but it seemed forced after that. Good but not as good as the other books. Great narrator as this was an audio version! I would still recommend this one as part of the series though.

Love this series

Enjoy all the series that Jaci Burton writes, but this is my favorite. That being said, I did have some issues with the narrator. When you have listened to the series using a particular person and then change them (for a good reason I imagine) it can be hard to tell the characters apart. Hopefully, if this narrator is used again, they will grow on me. Looking forward to the next book in the series!!

Loved it!

Who couldn't love the sexy, tattooed alpha sweet Flynn.. Amilia was perfect as well, not to much whining or girly...Can't wait for the next.

Feminism grade: B+

Wow. Fantastic book. Usually I am good at predicting exactly what wrench will temporarily keep apart the main couple but for this book, it was only after the 3/4 point of the book that I figured what will happen at the end.

Even though I loved this novel, I have two things that mildly irritated me (this is what I took points off).
1. The fact that the author stressed A LOT in one chapter the importance for women who happen to have children to give up their careers and that it's bad, as a woman with kids to be ambitious.
2. I felt like the tension at the end felt a bit too contrite and rushed and like it was resolved too quickly. I think it would have been better to reframe the conflict (I don't want to spoil it for people so I won't name it) as the couple working together and struggling to come up with a consensus, you know, as couples do in real life when something as big comes into their lives.

loved the book as always

I loved it as always. My only problem was I liked the other narrator a bit better.

This was ok, not bad or especially good

The story itself was written fairly well, but there was no drama or guesswork. This is a straight up love story that doesn't have anything to set you dreaming or drooling. It's nice, but I never once thought about anything going wrong with their relationship. Maybe throwing in a little more drama would do the trick and liven this up.

Still, its nice if you like a peaceful type of love story with no real challenges.

As far as narration goes. It was again pretty ok. Its hard to penalize a narrator when they don't really have the material to set their performance apart. I've done narrating and its very hard. She did a decent job with what she had. Because there was so much sex in this book, maybe the narrator could have livened up the sex scenes a little. They did fall pretty flat, but other than that, she did a great job.

If you like a calmer type of love story, this is for you.
