Publisher's Summary

From New York Times and USA Today bestselling author Aurora Rose Reynolds comes the first novel in the fun, sexy, and thrilling How to Catch an Alpha series.

Leah Emerson isn’t looking for a man - she’s looking for the right man. But her mother’s idea of a great catch leaves her cold, and she’s pretty sure her cocky, arrogant, and way too good-looking new neighbor isn’t the one either. If only her wayward cat would stop jumping through his window, she could get on with her life.

Tyler Duncan moved into town for a new job, not to fall in love. But he always goes after the things he wants in life with steadfast determination…and he wants Leah Emerson. He wants her smiles, he wants her touch, and he definitely wants her in bed.

Unfortunately, someone else wants Leah - in the worst way. Now Tyler’s on a mission to protect the woman he’s falling in love with while proving he’s worth falling for, and Leah must decide whether Tyler is a catch worth catching…

So sweet!

I did a re-read with the audiobook and the narrator was fantastic! I loved this just as much as I did the first time I read it.

This was filled with so much sugary goodness. It's low angst, funny with a protective alpha and a sweet heroine that you can't help but love. This is my favorite type of a light read. It's stress free but still delivers what I want in a book.

Tyler is a take charge alpha who knows what he wants and he wants Leah. Leah is a total sweetheart. She's the type of heroine that everyone just loves to be around. She has had some bad luck with past boyfriends and now she is taking her grandma's advice. No more chasing men. If they want her, they have to make a move and Tyler is the right man for the job.

We got so much couple time which I love to see in the books I read. There is also some really great side characters as well as some cute scenes with kids. I highly recommend this book, especially to readers who just want a fun, low angst read.

4 stars

It's been a while that an ARR book has pulled me in so completely and I was pleasantly surprised with Catching Him. I feel like this one had the spark that some of her newer ones didn't. The opening scene was memorable and made me fall in love with the heroine.

Narration was 4 stars. I usually skip this male narrator but he seemed to have toned it down some in this book.

lighthearted with a little bit of suspense

This is a cute story. Leah is tired of being the only one in a relationship, who is looking for commitment so she's sworn off men for now. Then she meets her sexy neighbor, Tyler. Not only is he sexy, he's charming and he has THE best dog ever! Their relationship starts off on the wrong foot, however, when Leah doesn't realize that the vacant house next door is now occupied and climbs in through a window in pursuit of her evil cat...Mouse. Eventually, the pair become friends, but will Leah allow the relationship to become more. Meanwhile, someone seems to be targeting the pair...Leah's place is trashed, Tyler's dog is taken away by Animal Control. Is there an HEA in the future for the duo or will outside influences create too many hurdles?
Good story with great narration...definitely worth the read/listen.

A Favorite From A Favorite Author

Leah and Tyler are too stinking cute!

The story is super sweet, fun, and low on angst. If you’re looking for a quick fun read that’s hot and sweet, I highly recommend this book from one of my favorite authors.

What I Enjoyed Most:
The beginning was funny and cute. Super cute pets lead to a chance meeting between these two lovebirds. I particularly loved their pets. If only my fur baby was as obedient as Bruce. LOL

Every woman wants a man like Tyler! He’s hot, good in bed, and super duper sweet, but still macho enough to stand up for his love. I loveeeeeeee him.

Leah is a great character. A great girl. Someone I’d totally want to hang out with and shoot the breeze. She’s caring and easy going.

Their relationship is fun, flirty, and easy. As I stated before, this one is low angst. It’s a pretty straight forward romance. No major surprises, just a good time. Not sure if its just me, but this one seemed to be a bit sexier and I was here for it!
All in all, a great read!!
