I love this series! The plot twist was fantastic! On to the next book. I can’t wait!👏🏼

Narration blows.....

I have been reading this on the kindle app and I wanted to try the Audible but the narrators were so robotic. At least Winters parts were for me. I would say read it yourself instead. The book is so good. Penelope Douglas does an amazing job as you are immersed in this universe of Devils night.

Heart wrenching ❤️‍🩹

Damon’s story has always been tragic, but gah. As with the rest of this series, check the trigger warnings, but this one was especially difficult to get through. The storytelling is excellent and fast-paced as with all her books and the female narrator’s speech is less annoying in this one than the previous two.

Good storyline. not enough spice

I like the storyline good plot twist. but I needed a little more spice from Damond, bc he was the most dangerous one. this storyline show a more of how n why he was the dangerous one. but it was bitter sweet read for me.

Love Damon's Story - possible triggers

There was something about this one that I felt more with this story. You get to learn about Damon and why he is who he is. This book may have triggers for some as it deals with abusive parenting.

Damon and Winter I believe to be the best story so far, I still have Nightfall but I can't imagine it being better than this one. I can't really review this without giving away spoilers but you really come to understand the twistedness of Damon, his relationship with his sister Banks and his love for Winter. There is also another interesting twist that I didn't see right away but it was confirmed at the end.

Loved this book! Loved it more than the previous books definitely! Great story and couldn’t get enough of it!

This book was so hauntingly beautiful and dark

I am so glad these books are just getting better and better as the series goes along. This one is my absolute favorite so far from the series, which I totally expected from Damon. He's troubled, dark, and obsessive. This is a beautifully written book of hurt and betrayal. Childhood dreams and nightmares turn into a complex plot, beautifully broken characters, and a heart achingly tormented couple. There was not a better designed love interest for Damon who has a childhood made of your worst nightmares. Winter is strong and soft in the areas Damon is not, she's ambitious and wild in the ways that push him, and she plays his games better than him. I loved every minute of this book!

Read if you like troubled and scared heroes, forced proximity, and plot twists that are gut wrenching. This is the third in a series and is best read in order.

Great sequel

Love this sequel. I just wish there was a different male narrator. He does a good job but the voice doesn’t fit and when he imitates a female it sounds ridiculous.
