Publisher's Summary

Sparks may fly in the bedroom, but fire always brings destruction.

Golden Beach firefighter, Lieutenant Michael Oliver, has everything he wants - a beautiful wife, a job he loves, and a future that finally looks bright after years of darkness. Until one day a surprise from his past shows up, throwing everything he'd finally recovered from back in his face.

Lena Shirakawa married the man of her dreams in an impulsive Vegas wedding. As a free-spirited and highly sought-after travel photographer, being the wife of a firefighter who wants her to settle down isn't easy. Especially when her job takes her all over the world for months at a time.

When Lena's deep-rooted fears take hold, the damage is done and divorce seems the only option. But Michael won't give up, even if it means risking everything to keep her.

    "Beautiful Story!"

Redemption was a beautifully written story about Michael and Lena, and is book 5 in the Golden Beach series but can be read or listened to as a standalone. Michael is a firefighter, Lena is a local photographer, and they meet during the firefighter calendar shoot! Who doesn't love a hot fireman?!

The author gives us a well written story that brings out all of the emotions. Michael and Lena have to contend with past loves, an absentee father, a love for travel, the longing for a family, and an arsonist! Will their relationship be able to stand the test of all the outside forces influencing them? I will definitely be reading the other books in the series to find out more about the other characters in this book.

The narration from Will Watt and Susan Fouche was superb! Both of them were able to bring the emotions of this story to a whole new level with their voices!

    "Enjoyable listen"

I was lucky enough to receive this book in return for an honest review direct from the author
First off I would like to say how much I enjoyed the narrators they put a lot of feeling into their performance and held me throughout , this is the fifth book in the series but stood alone well and it's not necessary to have read/listen to the previous books but I will be going back to start from the beginning

I was happy and sad and I had to keep the earbuds in to find out how things were going to turn out. This is story of Michael Oliver, a firefighter, and Lena Shirakaw a photographer meet and marry fast and Then really need to get to know each other there are many twists and turns that happen to this couple, you cannot help but feel for both of them. I don't want to give anything of the story away, but the two together are explosive and apart are gut-wrenching. the supporting cast are characters from books I have yet to read but I have to say they all sound interesting so look forward to listening to there stories ?

    Thanks for a good listen

    "Fantastic Story"

Redemption is part of Kim Loraine's Golden Beach series. It can be read as a stand alone, though as I read it I am greatly intrigued about the other characters mentioned in this story. I am new to Kim Loraine as an author, but this will certainly not be the last I read from her. I fell in love with the wonderful world she has created in Golden Beach. She created suspense, combustible chemistry and a story line that kept me burning through the pages. There were times I laughed out loud, cried and even felt like I wanted to scream at how frustrated I was at a character from time. But in the end, it made for a beautiful story.

Golden Beach firefighter Lieutenant Michael Oliver has had a rough couple of years. Losing his brother and fiance has not helped, but he is finally starting to get his life back on track. When he reunites with the sexy free-spirited photographer he is willing to do anything in his power to keep her within his grasp. The last thing he needs or expects is to have his past come barreling into his present to complicate things.

Lena Shirakawa is a free-lance photographer who loves to travel the world. She is good at what she does and her job takes her away for months at a time. When she impulsively decides to marry the man of her dreams her fear of losing her firefighter could quite possibly become a reality, if she gives in to those fears.

PS - The narration of this story was phenomenal. Will Watt and Susan Fouche do a spectacular job of bringing Kim Loraine's characters to life. I am new to Susan Fouche and would gladly listen to her work again. After listening to this performance, I have to say I am quite impressed with Will's range of characters. I have listened and fell in love with his British voices, but I have to say I was quite impressed with his American one as well. I enjoyed his performance so much I could probably listen to him read the phone book and still be enthralled. I am looking forward to listening to both of these narrators in the future as well!

    "Awesome!!!"

This book by Kim Loraine is oh so good! I was hooked from the very beginning. The meeting on the beach was great. This book is both part of a series and a standalone listen. I loved the characters in this book and the performance by Will M. Watt and Susan Fouche was so good. Both narrators added so much to this book. I have listened to all books in the series and have enjoyed them each, but I think this one is my favorite. I highly recommend this book and will look for more by this author and narrators.

    "Complicated"

This was my first book by this author. I got the impression these characters were introduced in previous books. Still, it was a stand alone. Lena and Michael go through a lot of complications. This story has plenty of twists and turns.

    "Incredibly Beautiful"

There is something about the way Kim Loraine writes that completely enraptures me. This series has taken me in from the first book, but I have to say that this one had me in every emotion I could think of. I am not a person who gets all wrapped up in the feelings, I listen to the story and enjoy. This one I was physically happy and sad and I had to keep the earbuds in to find out how things were going to turn out. This is story of Michael Oliver, firefighter,(of course he is hot, he is a firefighter) and Lena Shirakawa(beautiful photographer). The two have an incredibly fast wedding and are off to really now get to know each other. So many twists and unexpected things happen to this couple, you cannot help but feel for both of them. I don't want to give anything of the story away, but the two together are explosive and apart are gut-wrenching. I love that the supporting cast are characters we have met in previous books, but I have to say, Mitchell is the one who really stole my heart. What a cute little boy caught in the most unfortunate of circumstances. Thank you Kim for giving us this story, your talent is truly amazing.

Will M Watt and Susan Fouche are the dual narrating team of this book, and have fast become one of my favorite teams. I think their portrayal really brought the true value of the emotions felt in this story. Look forward to hearing more of their narrations,

    "Great Story With Great Narrators!"

This is the first Kim Loraine book I have listened to and definitely will not be the last! This was such a great story. Plus firefighters...you can never go wrong with firefighters!

I love how the characters have flaws but they do what it takes to work through their fears and hesitations for love. Kim Loraine is a great author and I am excited there are more stories in the Golden Beach Series to enjoy.

And the narrators...WOW! Will M Watt is fantastic. It was a little strange to hear him without his English accent but if I hadn't know that he had one I wouldn't know from this. Susan Fouche was great! I loved her speaking Japanese. It made me so glad I listened to the book instead of reading it as it would have lost something in translation.

All in all, I am so glad I listened to this one.

"A 10 stars audiobook and performance!"
If you could sum up Redemption in three words, what would they be?

Unforgettable, Emotionally intense and a Must-Read.

What other book might you compare Redemption to and why?

None since this is a one of a kind for me.

    Which scene was your favorite?

When Michael called Lena and said he wasn't going to sign the papers until she saw him in person.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

Yes, when Lena realized that she needed Michael and she was going to fight for him.

    Any additional comments?

This was my first audiobook by Kim Loraine and first duet narration experience ever. I absolutely LOVED LOVED LOVED this audiobook from the first spoken word. Will and Susan absolutely nailed this story and their performances were incredibly moving and unforgettable. I'd buy any future books with them; they are so incredibly talented and had stirred my mind, body and soul. This book was the kind of story that I absolutely LOVE with believable and flawed characters, delightful secondary characters and an excellent story line with an HEA which totally satisfied me and made me SIGH! This book was a thrilling and exciting emotional roller coaster ride from beginning to end and I highly recommend it. I laughed, I cried and I felt so much. Thank YOU, Kim, Susan and Will for this special gift. You are all so gifted!

    "<3 Michael and Lena"

Kim Loraine is a new author to me and i was so glad to be able to listen to Redemption on audio! i absolutely loved Will Watt and Susan Fouche as narrators, they did a stellar job at all the characters' voices and really brought the book to life. This book is part of the Golden Beach series but each are standalone. However, since i jumped into the series with this book, there were a few things that i wanted more details about that were probably part of previous books. But the storyline is great and i definitely want to read more. At some points in the books, i went through stages with Michael...being mad at him, then feeling bad for him, then falling in love with him. I just got so invested in both Michael and Lena. I don't see too many asian heroines so that was such a nice surprise for me and i loved it! Now I am going to go back and read the other books in the series but start from the beginning this time! =)
