Publisher's Summary

I’m a British lord, not a knight in shining armor, but as soon as I saw Charity, I knew she was my damsel in distress. Stranded in the city with nothing but the clothes on her back, this innocent virgin needs help in more ways than one. Her sweetness enchants me, but her body tempts me.

When I find out she’s got a reunion and life hasn’t put her where she wants to be, I make an offer she can’t refuse. I’ll accompany her to the party if she’ll pretend to be my fiancée for my brother’s wedding. I didn’t plan on actually falling for my fake fiancée, but now that I have her, I can’t let her go.

Totally swoonworthy!

Kim Loraine has made me fall in love with Charity and Lincoln in such a short time, and I was not ready for it to be over. Charity comes to the city, and after being duped by the driver is trying to check into the hotel with no credentials or luggage. Lucky for her, the owner of the hotel, Lincoln is near and takes care of everything. These two have instant chemistry and when Linc offers a proposition Charity can't refuse, things really heat up. A fun, quick and steamy listen, this will entice you and make you want more from this couple! We can only hope Kim has more in store for them down the line!

The narration of this book is off the charts swoonworthy! Shane East as Lincoln will melt your heart from the first word. I can understand why Charity was taken with him, that accent will make any woman do what Linc wants! Kylie Stewart as always gives an amazing performance and Charity is perfect with her confidence building and her innocence. Loved it!

Instalove, but just okay.

Quickie novellas are something that I quite enjoy, but this one fell flat to me. Bonus points for duet narration, though.

Charity is in town for a reunion with her sorority sisters. In a twist of fate, she loses her stuff when she gets to a hotel. The owner, Lincoln, takes her word as he needs a fake fiancée for a family wedding.

They have instant chemistry. And with a few hiccups get an HEA.

Shane East was, well, Shane East. His narration was hot and maybe a bit over the top, but it was the character. Kylie was good, but I felt her voice might have been a little too young sounding. She’s pretty new to me and I’ll probably check out more of her work.

Short!

When I started listening to this book I wasn’t thinking about it being a short one, so when they were immediately in LOVE it seemed pretty cheesy. When I realized it was a short one, I adjusted my expectations and decided to just go with it. So - completely non-realistic (of course, most romances are!) and not much depth to the relationship...but I did enjoy it :-).

Way too short

I enjoyed this story, just wish it was a little longer. Hearing Shane East is always a pleasure, he could read anything and I’d listen to him.

Loved the male narrator. Female not so much.

I liked the duet style narration, even though the female narrator seemed a bit stiff.

Good but could be better

I’m all for the short novella style books but this was way to freaking short. I mean seriously.. talk about skipping a few steps. It could have been a little better with another hour at least. More details and take it out the full week at least.. Shane East... omg.. that voice... so ya, not sure I would have paid more than the $4.87.

Sweet But Short

The plot is entirely predictable: the heroine in distress and the hero as the white knight savior written in different versions. On top of that, the story is way too short even for a novella. Truth be told, I downloaded The Virgin's Fake Fiance because it was narrated by Shane East. In that regard, it is worth a listen and gave it 4 stars.
