Captivating from the start
I remember being told to read this book a decade ago, and I regret waiting so long! Or perhaps I am glad I waited, as I would not have listened to it then, but read it myself. I am extremely picky about audiobook narrations, and this one was fantastic! I really FELT the connections between the characters, Jamie and Claire’s particularly of course, and found myself sitting in my car, in my drive way, not wanting to stop the story. I can’t recommend this audiobook enough!

A Fabulous Story Narrated Brilliantly
I have read Outlander at least three times. Davina Porter's narration makes the book even better. She is a master of accents and voices of both genders; giving life to the myriad of characters. Sublime.

Diana Gabaldon's Outlander is a Treasure
Would you listen to Outlander again? Why?
Diana Gabaldon's Outlander series is a Treasure! Even more wonderful than the books, characters, and storyline are how they come to life as read by Davina Porter. She is exceptional and the very best audiobook narrator I have ever listened to. She transforms Diana's words and you easily escape into the Scottish Highlands and come to know all the people and places.
What other book might you compare Outlander to and why?
No other books compare to this series.

Read the entire Outlander series. Read anything narrated by Davina Porter. She is tremendously talented and her character voice work is second to none.

OUTSTANDING BOOK
This book started out slow as some books do but as the story developed I totally fell in love with it and with the scottish warrior and hero of the story Jamie Fraser. By the end of the book I was so hooked on the story I had to read the sequel Dragonfly in Amber and it became as obsession with me. I had to buy all the books which is upto book 7 Echo In The Bone and am anxiously waiting for book 8 to come out this year or next year. I can't wait! It is one of the best books I have read. And i have read alot of books. And have never admired a character more than Jamie. He is like the ultimate hero.

Slow at first then I couldn't stop
Where does Outlander rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?
It took the first 10 hours before I could get in to it, but then it was a book I didn't want to stop listening to. The narrator does a great job also.
