A breath of fresh air from a lovely man and brilliant performer!

Since he appeared on my radar, I have been following Sam’s public journey.
This latest gift to his fans finds him opening the door (just a crack into some of the private Sam).
His enthusiasm, candor and vulnerability are out there for all to see. It’s a great listen and I found I was listening and laughing as well as getting a bit choked up here and there. I was sorry when the journey ended and hope that this is the just the beginning for Sam, the memoirist, as he embarks on his next adventure.

OMG, I couldn't stop listening. He is a born storyteller. While reflecting on his life (and his Scottish Journey), I found myself doing the same. He has inspired me to challenge myself more.

Utterly Delightful! Great Narration by Sam.

This was utterly delightful to listen to! Sam is a fantastic narrator who brought to life all of the stories he shared. I alternately smiled, gasped, and laughed out loud throughout the book. I have read some memoirs that end up causing me like the writer less, but this memoir made me like Sam even more. Incredibly well written, it was interesting to hear his life story unfold. I was surprised by how much personal information he shared. It was also fun to join him on his journey as he hikes The West Highland Way in Scotland. I enjoyed all of the small details he shared and the "real time" daily update recordings at the end of each chapter. I highly recommend this book, and if you can listen to him narrate it, even better! 

Natural beauty of Scotland comes alive through this book.

I enjoyed the parallelisms between Sam’s ups and downs in his personal life and career and his milestones while hiking the West Highland trail. The moment when he talks about how he lost his phone will stay with me forever for what it means. This book is written with Vulnerability, perseverance and honesty above all.

A man’s life

What a joy this biography is. Sam gives his fans a look at his life being raised by a single mom who was so influential in making him who he is as a person. He explores his feeling towards his father who left the family. His journey to fame was a struggle but he never lost sight of his goals. A must read/listen.

Enjoyed very much!

As a reader, who seems to fall asleep while reading, I thoroughly enjoyed listening to this book, written and narrated by Sam Heughan. It was an easy listen and shared information about him as an actor and a human being. I admire him even more after listening to his book.

Loved it. The voice. The humor. The honesty and candor. My listening is perfectly timed as news of the final season of Outlander is announced and I recall the first time I learned of Sam’s selection to play Jamie. I look forward to the rest of Sam’s career.
