Publisher's summary

The story that started with the New York Times best seller, Fallen Too Far continues...

Rush withheld a secret that had destroyed her world. Her entire life had all been a lie. Blaire couldn’t stop loving him but she knew she could never forgive him. Now, she was back home and learning to live again. Moving on with life…until something happened to send her world spinning once again.

What do you do when the one person you can never trust again is the one that you need to trust so desperately? You lie, hide, avoid, and pray that your sins never find you out.

Finally...Audible gives us the 2nd installment!

One nice difference in this book than in Fallen Too Far is that we’re treated to dual POV. When the books begins, Blaire’s back in Sumit, with no clue where to go or what to do. While, Rush is being a depressed hermit, heartbroken over losing the only person he’ll ever be in love with. He was so lost without Blaire. Having his POV was the perfect way to experience this book. He was desperate to prove his undying love and devotion to her, and he would do anything to show her. I fell even farther in love with him. I didn't think it was possibly to love him anymore than I already did, but being in his mind blew me away. It allowed us to connect with him on a level that we didn't get in the first book. Blaire is struggling with figuring out what to do next when suddenly Bethy shows up & circumstances lead Blaire back to Rosemary, but she insists she is only staying for a few months, just enough time to save up some money and hit the road so she can finally leave all of this behind her. Little does she know, Rush won’t give her up that easily. Blaire is determined not to let Rush back into her heart. To her, too much damage had been done, too much baggage was in the way, and she would never allow herself to trust him again. Unfortunately for Blaire, Rush Finlay is not an easy man to let go, and Rush was just as determined to prove to Blaire that she was it for him, and he’d do anything to keep her, even if it meant shutting out his entire family. Slowly, Rush begins to break down the walls surrounding Blaire’s heart. Rush is such delicious alpha man candy!!! He is so sexy!!! I can't get enough of his dirty mouth. The sex was intense between them. I'm not joking!! It’s so hot!! I truly adore sweet Blaire! She has been through a lot in her life but she has still managed to come out of it all as a strong independent woman. Although, I didn't like how some of the drama was avoidable & unnecessary thanks to Blaire. It just took a little logic to figure things out without assuming the worst first. I did like learning more about Blaire’s father, her beautiful Mother, and the true nitty gritty details of the circumstances behind the greatest betrayal that rocked Blaire and Rush’s relationship. The depth of this situation was totally unexpected. So, even though I really liked this book, I wish it had been longer. I just felt some parts of the book were rushed and could have been developed a little better. I look forward to finding out what Forever Too Far has in store for us.

Really great story but accents don't match.

Is there anything you would change about this book?

I hate that the main character is a rock stars son but he has a very heavy southern accent. Rush sounds more like a country singer's son.

Would you be willing to try another one of Jennifer Bronstein’s performances?

I can't deal with all the voices sounding the same.

Any additional comments?

Over all really great story that leaves you on the edge.

Loved It!!!

Where does Never Too Far rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

I'm new to audiobooks but I'm hooked and so far it is the best.

What did you like best about this story?

I love the romance and the realization of their love, I am a hopeless romantic and these over the top love stories continue to bring me hope. lol.

What does Jennifer Bronstein bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

I loved her narration and her accent I would have never experienced it if I read it myself specially in the first book of the series. It was a bit confusing on the Rush Chapters I would have preferred a man and woman voice as opposed to her trying to make a mans voice. I've experienced that in other series with the same method and it was much more effective and the experience was better.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Yes!!

EXCEEDED ALL EXPECTATIONS! LOVED IT!

Let me say that this book is the reason I read romance novels. Book 1, "Fallen Too Far" left us reeling with developments and bombs of new information that felt like an emotional explosion. I was left feeling deeply for Blair and her sorrow was quite palpable as the family secrets disclosed were simply devastating. Yet, in the eye of the storm, Rush is relentless and pursues her all the way to her home town, Summit, Alabama. The beginning of this books starts out with all of the impossibilities; that is, the struggles that plague this couple seem insurmountable. Yet, right when you think, it can't work out, well, it just does. Rush and Blair come together in an evenly paced manner where the steam, chemistry, and yes, love is thick, almost suffocating due to it's intensity, but oh so good!!!!

Even though there are sorrowful moments that feel crushing, Glines does not leave readers suffering along with the leads very long because the beautiful, fun, and sexy as hell moments are plentiful as well. I loved seeing Rush and Blair come together. It felt natural, magnetic and insatiable. I enjoyed the interaction between all characters such as Rush's sister (Nan), his brother (Grant), competitor (Woods), Blair's ex-boyfriend (Cain) and her faithful friend (Bethy). There are also very emotional and revealing moments regarding Blair's father, Abe, and background information impacting these two damaged families. Yet, my favorite part was the triumphant ending. We are left with a very precious moment between Rush and Blair, taking us into the 3rd book on an emotional high.

Narrator: Jennifer B. continues to deliver in her sweet southern accent and overall performance. There was still some of the lack of distinction between males and female voices, but not too bad.

NOW ON TO BOOK #3!!! SO EXCITED!!!

My heart aches and I can't stop...LOVE

Oh Blaire I love you. She has really impressed me, wow! She is a spitfire! There is a lot of character development, you really get to know both Blaire and Rush well. Rush keeps screwing up and Blaire keeps her head. She isn't whiny and over dramatic, she is inwardly strong. No matter what she keeps plugging away to do what's best. This one is from both points of view which I LOVE. So good, such a great story. We get to know the secondary characters better here too, we gain SOME empathy but not for all of them. There is one character who we'd all like to kill...but can't. Blaire is the epitome of turn the other cheek. Rush is broken, possessive, sometimes clueless and hot, what more can we ask for. Love the progression of this book. Just download all three at once, there is no way to stop this once you start.

Major young adult angst!

After the major "cliffhanger" in book one of this series I was seriously upset about how that book abruptly ended, so I was excited to get this second installment. I have conflicting views about this book similar to that of the first, it seems like a young adult story with very adult overtones and that's not usually my thing but the storyline is decent. This installment felt like chapter after chapter of an after school special...but the R-rated version. It's a bit overly fraught with what seems like teen angst and poor decisions. This time around Blair and her heartthrob deal with some tough life circumstances but find a way to deal ultimately. Overall, the first book was better than this second, but I did enjoy the majority of it and would purchase others in the series and from this author.

Love it!

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Finally, the 2nd book!!! The first book left you hanging. I'm so glad Abbi decided to write the second book.

What other book might you compare Never Too Far to and why?

Twisted Perfection by Abbi Glines. Almost the same storyline. I love Abbi's stories.

Have you listened to any of Jennifer Bronstein’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

Yes, Jennifer was amazing, especially with her Southern accent.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

I loved the part when Blair accepted her Dad, it was touching.

Love the book but…

I love the book but the audiobook would have been much better if a man had voiced Rush’s part. Having the same person voice each part made it weird.

Part 2

part 2 to Rush and Blaire's is just as captivating as the first. I enjoyed the narrator and I thought she did an excellent job with the male voices.
