Good First Listen

This is my first book by Abbi. I had been wanting to read her books for a while. But when I met her this spring, I made sure to move her books up on my list.

I listened to this audio and enjoyed it even though it was only a female narrator. Ingrid does really well with doing this book and both POVs. There were not many POVs from the male, so that made it better.

I really liked the characters and their story. It was easy to follow, and the characters are all likable.

This is a great start to a series and will hook you. You will not be able to stop at one book. This one ends on a cliffhanger of sorts, and you will want to know what happens.

I enjoyed reading the book but I hate cliff hangers. I love series but I like for them to finish the book. I’m also not big on books about mobsters. I hope they aren’t into selling drugs. They didn’t really get into exactly what kind of mob they are.

unique concept and smexy cowboys

I have read some YA books from Abbi Glines, so I was curious what her 'grown up' books would be like, and I was impressed! The plot twist (insert mind blown emoji!) It was angsty, refreshing, and I now want a horse and a dark cowboy myself. I love how possessive the MMC became after his initial alphahole era. I can't wait to finish this series!

Extremely well written. I could not stop listening. I would give it a five if it had been recorded with both female and male narrators. The female is very good though.
