Love is just around the corner . . .

Sweet, shy Mara Hanover is in love with her neighbor. For four years, she has secretly watched her dream man from afar. Handsome police detective Mitch Lawson is way out of her league. She's a girl from the wrong side of the tracks, and there's no way a guy like Mitch would want anything to do with her. But when Mara has a leaky faucet that she can't fix, it's Mitch who comes to her rescue.

Mitch has been eyeing his beautiful neighbor for a long time. He jumps at the chance to help her, and soon their formerly platonic relationship gets very hot and heavy. But when Mara gets a disturbing phone call from her cousin's kids, she gets pulled back into the life she's tried so hard to leave behind. Can the hot law man convince Mara to let go of her past-and build a future with him? (Dream Man Series, Book 3)

Love Mitch Lawson!

Would you consider the audio edition of Law Man to be better than the print version?

I think the change in tone and voice really enhanced the story.

What did you like best about this story?

Of all the KA books I've read, this had the most heart.

Which scene was your favorite?

When Mitch was trying to calm Bud down. You could feel the love coming from Mitch and the little boy's fear perfectly.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

Some emotional moments, but I laughed more than cried.

Any additional comments?

Nothing beats a KA alpha!

I love Mitch's story!!

How could the performance have been better?

I have listened to this entire series and am completely baffled as to why the voices...set in Denver...are normal in this first book and somehow in the following books everyone ends up sounding like they are in New York. Especially when the DREAMY man sounded normal and completely sexy in book one and now sounds like he's from Brooklyn...but only sometimes. It's very distracting when you listen to books all the time and especially when you like the book so much and WANT to like the narration.

Loved it,but...........

AGAIN with the Brooklyn accent???? Seems l like this narrator thinks that any "classless, crass, obnoxious" character MUST have a Brooklyn accent! It's kind of insulting and jarring, cause the accent doesn't fit with the character. You might want to clue her in!

Law Man is definitely a “Ten Point Five” listen

I’ve been waiting for Detective Mitch Lawson’s story ever since he first appeared in Mystery Man. Wow! He is one super amazing, extremely hot, all around good guy. *sigh* Turns out he’s interested in his neighbor, Mara, the shy, low self-esteemed, beautiful but super sweet girl next-door. Together they make a really nice couple that you can’t help but want to see have their HEA.

I loved this book. It had everything I’ve come to expect in a Kristen Ashley story. Romance, sassy heroine, sexy alpha males, great characters, action and very funny dialogue. Every scene with the “trailer trash twins” had my laughing out loud! That is some batsh*t crazy family!

I love KA and her unique writing style. Add to it Kate Russell’s narration and you have another winner in the Dream Man Series. Now I can’t wait until Motorcycle Man.

5 Stars!

MODERN DAY PRINCE CHARMING IN THE BEST WAY!

If there was such a thing as fiery dragons, and damsels in distress in our modern day, it would be Detective Mitch Lawson who would come in to the rescue--Not only to save the damsel from her current foes, but to release her from the pain of her past and set her free to love. This is exactly what happens in Law Man to Mara Hanover.

Mara and Mitch both reside in the same apartment complex (known for the fabulous singles who reside there), and Mara has been on Mitch's radar for 4 years. For 2 of those years, she was with a loser boyfriend, and for the remaining 2 years, she avoided him like the plague. Yet, Mitch gets his opportunity when her faucet breaks, and he steps in to fix it. After a few more botched date opportunities post faucet repair, well Mitch gets his second chance when she becomes the guardian of her low-life cousin's children---the delightful Billy and Billie (what a story of their own!!!).

At the beginning of their connection Mara is extremely skittish, and evasive of Mitch even though the girl adores the man (no, loves the man)!! Mara over thinks everything and is wrong about her own self-worth believing Mitch could never be interested in a woman so out of his league. So this tale unwinds with a man so persistent to win over this beautiful woman, that he takes on the task of not only connecting and loving her children, but patiently (& sometimes not so patiently) teaches Mara how to let go. Mitch helps Mara break through this hard-shelled cocoon she's encased herself in, and allows him to penetrate (yup in every way…lol) and make her reality the stuff dreams are made of.

Mitch is extremely sexualy-appealing, masculine, and is such a strong man with a tender heart for children and for Mara that this book will just make your heart melt. Mara is a gorgeous woman inside and out, but whose self-perception was damaged and needed the love of a strong man to bring her into her own. Both Billy and Billie are also awesome additions to this story of love and I can't even count how many times I teared up along the way!!

Wow! Again, I was blown away with this beautiful story of love that Kristen Ashley has created. In Law Man, Ashley has created leads with both flaws and beauty with a good stream of hot-sexy love, hilarious banter, wonky smiles, friendship, drama, action, mystery, suspense and a great dose of personal growth. She definitely writes from the heart, and this is why each of her books that I've read have captured mine.

Narrator: This listen was definitely enhanced & brought to life by the crazy-amazing talent of Kate Russell---Bravo woman, you are awesome!

Lastly, it was fabulous to see so many characters from the previous book, from Gwen, Elvira and the girls, and especially a rescue that involved Hawk's commandos, Tack's MC club and factions of the police force that Brock is involved in, come together in an incredible race toward the HEA. Also, the epilogue, was superb and again….beautiful….Dream Man beautiful…..

NOW TO THE NEXT BOOK IN THE SERIES…..MOTORCYCLE MAN…HERE WE GO!!!

Loved It

I really enjoyed this book, it was my first from this author. We meet Mara, who is painfully shy, and has very low self esteem due to her poor upbringing and dreadful family. She has a cousin that followed her out to Denver, he has two young children that she absolutely adores. She also has a huge crush on her sexy neighbor, Detective Mitch Lawson. What Mara doesn't know is that he has watched her for two years, all she sees is the other beautiful women coming and going from his apartment.
Mitch finally gets his in into Mara's life when her little cousins run away from home and call her for help. Mitch kind of forces his way into her life through helping her with the kids.
The narration was excellent and is well worth the credit or cash.

Drama filled

Would you listen to Law Man again? Why?

Yes. When I'm between books and because it's one of my favorites.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Law Man?

Don't want to give anything away.

Have you listened to any of Kate Russell’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

She is a talented narrator she makes the characters come to life.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

No Idea.

Any additional comments?

This is the third book in the series. It's good but not as good as book one and two. This book is still full of suspense and drama.

Love the series!

I’ve listened to all the Dream Man novels by Kristen Ashely many times over. They never get “old”! She tells the stories so well and the romance scenes are hot and in good taste! I’ll keep listening for more from this author for sure!

Have to say this was a bit of a tear jerker

I have to say I somewhat agree with another reviewer when she stated that Maira's constant 2.5 remarks drove me crazy. But I understand by the end of the book that life had made her believe that is what she was and would always be.

Mitch was a dream man and I loved his confidence and drive to make her see what she was and had always been. I loved this book and probably will read again.

I have to say one of the things I love about Kristen's books are the supporting characters. I have to say they crack me up all the time.

The only thing I want her to stop saying in her books is the word whack!!! I can't stand it. :)
