Not In The Same League

Any additional comments?

It's not a bad audiobook. Ashley just came up short, because the first book was so outstanding. This is a pretty cookie-cutter historical romance that becomes interesting about the time Ian and Beth show up. And it's interesting because of the characters, not the story. On their own, Mac and Isabella are wonderful secondary characters. Their book just doesn't make the same impact as others in this series. I think you could actually skip this book if you wanted to. Do not skip Cameron's book. We see the whole family, but the story stands on its own and Cam and Ainsley are a strong couple.

Love the scandal💋

Great storyline-she writes very well and love the details she displays with her words about emotions and their differences. Looking forward to the next book.

Not as good as Ian but still fun!

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Yes, it is your typical highland romance with a happy ending. It is a series so naturally you have to find out about the other brothers. Comparing this to Ian it is a little bland but again those Scot's know how to love!

What was one of the most memorable moments of Lady Isabella's Scandalous Marriage?

The discovery of what had been burned in the attic...

What does Angela Dawe bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

I loved her in Ian's book and she is just as strong this time around...

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

Again probably what was burned in the attic. The ending was pretty moving too, summing up what was happening with the family up until now!

Any additional comments?

There's four, starting with Ian MacKenzie.

Very Good Series

Lady Isabella and Mac are quite the pair. Each Mackenzie brother is in each of the books and each quite interesting. I see Mac as a kind of Rhett Butler character though I can’t say Rhett’s character is as fleshed out as Mac’s was. The marriage should have been doomed and basically was except for the desire of the both of them, Lady Isabella and Mac, to make it work eventually.

I loved the part where Sarah came into their lives – but you have to read it to find out who that is. Wink wink.

The story was very sweet, angry, intense, and well thought out; and you know from the beginning that they will end up together so no spoiler alert, but HOW they got back together and WHY is a very nice journey.

I have completely enjoyed this series and I hope you do too.

Another happy Mackenzie

Quite a drawn out & randy reconciliation that doesn't disappoint. Audio is fabulous. Isabel is strong and feminine & Mack is masculine, sensitive and playful.

Not as good as the first

I really struggled to finish this one. It was pretty boring for me at times.
