Publisher's Summary

Pro quarterback Cade Prescott's last play was to lose the Super Bowl for his team. To escape the bad press and recover from the disastrous season, he changes his appearance and hides away at a sleepy university town.

Andie Wales's first love is researching ancient bad boy kings. She is blissfully unaware of the Super Bowl and modern day bad boys. When her dog meets and mates with Cade's dog, Andie's first concern is to get her dog to a vet. She gets waylaid by Cade and his hunky good looks and has no idea just how out of her league Cade is.

Despite his secrets, Cade feels differently about Andie and thinks he might be falling in love. Unfortunately, his past catches up with him, and he is forced to make a difficult decision. Can a professional athlete and a research librarian truly prove the axiom that opposites not just attract, but were meant for each other?

Cliffhanger. Cade and Andie's story continues in Part Two.

Quarterback Meets Librarian Romance

This is a short engaging story about a high profile quarterback that meets a small city librarian. She has no clue who he is and their relationship starts based on lies but the truth always has a way of catching up with you.

Narration was excellent and brought the story to life.

The only downside to this book is that it leaves you hanging with a huge cliffhanger. Their relationship is new and trouble seems to be right around the corner. I’m looking forward to the next book in this fun series.

OMG where's part two?

I'm really enjoying this book, the story is sweet and funny. The characters are realistic and relateable and the dogs made me laugh so hard!

The relationship develops fairly quickly but too fast.

I definitely need the next part ASAP I have to know what happens next.

The narration is well done as far as overall delivery is concerned. However the female character voices aren't great and it's sometimes hard to know who is speaking.

I received this book free from the narrator/publisher/author in exchange for an honest review.

Sexy, Great beginning

Where does Intercepted by Love rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

It's near the top of my favorite sport romances

What did you like best about this story?

I liked everything about this story except that it is done in parts.

What about Chris Abell’s performance did you like?

Everything. His voice is sexy, smooth and he is able to capture even the female voices without sounding silly. His cadence is spot on.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

My mouth fell open at the cliff hanging end

Any additional comments?

I will admit I was dragging my feet on this one. Only because it is a sports romance and that it's football. I love Rachelle Ayala stories so I decided to give them a chance and glad I did.
This is the first book and it does hang on a cliff hanger.
Cade has thrown a bad play causing his team to lose the playoffs so he goes into hiding. He winds up in New York and meets sexy librarian Andi. She is a researcher and knows everything about King David and then some. She has a secret that keeps her from wanting to have relationships. she is happy wound up in her research. Her father has had a stroke and she has to help support them.

This book builds up the characters backstories and their meeting. it is short, fast paced and having to dogs causing an issue makes t lots of fun. I even found the facts on King David and his wives interesting.

If you are looking for something to fill in a short space of time this is a good one. I will admit I don't care for books done in parts so I listened to all three of these in one day.
Fun beginning to this series!

Sports romances are always a fun read and this serial story definitely has kept me intrigued. Meet Cade Prescott, quarterback who just screwed up his chance at winning the Superbowl. He goes in to hiding, and meets Andie Wale, librarian, who knows nothing of football, and the adventure begins. I am really enjoying their interaction, the history of their lives and meeting Andie's parents. Rachelle Ayala does a very good job of introducing Andie's dad to us, recovering from a stroke and the difficulties he is facing. When you have real life situations that occur in the storyline, it definitely makes it much more interesting to me. While the relationship of Cade and Andie progresses, the real stars of the story come out..the dogs. Red and Gollie are so cute and fun! Their relationship will bring a smile to your face each time they get together. Just be aware, this is a story in parts, so the first does end on a cliffhanger, so make sure you have book 2 ready to go!

Narrated by Chris Abell, he performs this story so well, you get lost for the hours that he is reading. I love the way he can bring the story to life with his voices, easily discerning each character and making you able to picture each as they speak. Wonderful start to this series!

Fun book!

This story had me from the start. Andie and Cade are great together, and their dogs had me howling with laughter. I really enjoy listening to this narrator, and I definitely recommend this book!

Sweet and sexy sports romance

Any additional comments?

I really like the relationship building between Cade and Andy. It's not lots of hot sex even before they get to know each other like so many books today. There is hot sex, but at least Cade has told her he loves her. I didn't like the huge cliffhanger tacked on to the end even though I knew the book was part one. I want to quickly find out how in the world that happened. You have to listen or read to find out. Highly recommend to anyone that enjoys romance. I voluntarily reviewed this audiobook after receiving an advanced copy.

The Quarterback and the Librarian

Another great story by Rachelle Ayala, but be warned... there's a cliffhanger. No need to worry though... book 2 is available.

Opposites do attract. Cade is a football quarterback who is trying to escape from an unfortunate situation. Andie is a librarian who loves her research. Can this unlikely couple survive?

Chris Abell once again does a fantastic job of bringing the characters to life.

Amazing Story and Narration - Cliffhanger!!!

My feelings are all over the place on this story. This party does end in a cliffhanger, so be prepared for some shock! I honestly want expecting the ending, and I look forward to listening to more of the series.

The narrator was able to bring this story to life and add depth to both the name and female lead characters roles. He does a really good job on y this story, and he's definitely a narrator I want to follow more of!

Great Story! (but its a cliffhanger!)

I was hooked on this book from the very beginning. I am looking forward to listening to the next book in the series. I hope the remaining books (3 - 6) are made into audiobooks. I enjoy the opposite characters of Andi and Cade. I am a dog lover and enjoy hearing about Golley and Red as well. I did not rate the book higher due to the fact that its a cliffhanger ending. (I do not like cliffhangers!) My preference would have been a much longer complete story instead of separate books. My review is not a synopsis of the book, but rather my opinion of it. I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.

The Quarterback and the Librarian

Any additional comments?

Cade and Andie's first meeting was very unusual to say the least. Cade has gone incognito to avoid the backlash from his mistake in losing in the Super Bowl. Andie is a Biblical historical librarian who doesn't follow sports. They fall for each other in only a week and then the press finds out where he is and everything changes for them. I enjoyed this audio book and the narration by Chris Abell. I didn't want to quit listening it was so good. It does end with a cliffhanger. I can't wait for the next book in the series.

A Great Start to a New Series for Me

This is the first book in a series about pro quarterback Cade who's just made the biggest mistake of his career, costing his team the Superbowl and librarian Andie who doesn't follow sports.

This is a great story about how opposites attract, the chemistry between Andie and Cade is palpable and real.

Chris Abell did a great job narrating.

I can't wait to find out what happens between Andie and Cade (and their dogs ;) )

An Entertaining Part One. Bring on the rest!

It is a rare romance that can successfully throw together American football with the biblical King David in equal measures. The result is sweet, quirky, sexy and surprisingly real. Andy and Kade's story is a clear case of instant opposites attracting and the characters are stretched beyond their comfort zones. Between the mating dogs, the hidden identities and the infactuation with King David, the reader is in for an entertaining tussle. And this is only half of the tale.... i cannot wait to hear the rest!

This book was given to me for free at my request and I provided this voluntary review.
