Publisher's summary

From USA Today best seller Ava Harrison comes a sexy new stand-alone romance novel.

Pierce Lancaster is bad news. Spoiled. Entitled. Sexy as - he's exactly what I don't want in my life. What I don't need. I'm not the girl he knew before. I've changed.

But he hasn't. He's trouble filled with empty promises. I've come too far to fall back.

Yet I can't seem to stay away. I can't say no. I am addicted to Pierce Lancaster.

Emotional Journey I Loved!!!

Wow! This book is one emotional rollercoaster ride that I didn't want to get off. Amazing story about two broken people that together they figure out that being broken isn't a bad thing. Bad boy Pierce Lancaster was all Lindsey ever wanted but he never say her, there was always another woman got to him first. When one drunken night turns into something more, she knows she can never let him in. He destroyed her heart once and it will never happen again. So when events drop Pierce right into Lindsey's world she knows she has to fortify her walls or Pierce will want in and destroy her and this time there will be no coming back. Amazing characters that I found myself loving from the first few pages. This story had me feeling every emotion and I had to break out my kleenex box too. Definitely highly recommend this book and author.

Great book

Love this story and a huge fan of Andi Arndt and Joe Arden! Story has so much meaning behind it and the broken glass really touched me! Loved the ending brought tears to my eyes! Wish the story told more about the kids though, was interested in them as well. But other than that must check it out .

what an emotional ride

I wasn't sure I'd like this story or not. both pierce and lindsay are in the previous book but never cared too much about them as came off as spoiled kids.

and they are, but this is a story of 2 broken people who were ignored and all their families did was throw money at them all their life. both felt unwanted and useless until tragedy. all I can say is this was such an emotional book. these 2 characters grew on me and we get inside their heads and begin to understand them. and you get to experience the transition as they grow up and learn to care for each other and mature.

and the big build up at the end! wow! did not see that coming. narrators are top notch. wasn't sure about Joe Arden playing pierce as he was a more immature cHaracter imo but damn he pulled it off! narrators alone are worth listening this book.

the ending was maybe a bit sudden and wouldn't have minded a longer epilogue.

I'm not sure...

I am not sure why I couldn't connect with the characters. I found the story okay. I really liked the second book in this series.

The narration is perfect.

Slow Build, Worth The Listen!

"Explict" is the story about two spoiled rich kids who have put themselves in some bad situations & are paying the price while learning the best lesson of all - LOVE beats any drug, any drink, any high. Ms. Harrison has the ability to build character layers that in the end have you wanting to see even more of their lives on the page.

In all honesty, reading this book would not have been as engaging as listening. The romance genre was built for narration to make it come alive and bring forth emotions that you seriously cannot pick up from the verse alone. Andi Arndt & Joe Arden truly perform in this production and make you feel the angst, hurt, betrayal, and love between these characters and their families.

A stand alone book, but so much better if you know the members of the family through the other books in her library. The story of Lindsey and how her own rebuilding process occurs to then affect Pierce's life shows how we are all broken, but intertwined through life and most importantly love. Definitely worth the listen!

Wonderful story

This book definitely has its ups and downs for the characters but through it all you really find yourself rooting for them to overcome the obstacles in their lives. As always the narrators did an amazing job bringing life and emotion into the story.

I couldn't connect with the characters :-(

I went into this story after reading the previous ones from the series. For some reason I just couldn't connect with the main characters and it just made it difficult for me to enjoy this story. Much of their insecurities were frustrating to me because of they were just able to talk things through much of their bad habits and decisions would have been avoided. The narration, as everything Andi and Joe do, is great, but not even their performance could make me connect with these characters.

Slow and boring

I should have listened to the only bad comment about this book. It truly was slow and boring. The story was all over the place. A waste of a credit.

Good but not great

Wish the story had more depth. Along with a more unique plot and climax. It might be a great read for those who like soft romance with a predictable ending.
