Publisher's summary

Peril and passion on enemy seas....

Lottie Livingstone bears the weight of an island on her shoulders. Under threat of losing their home, she and her clan take to the seas to sell a shipload of illegal whiskey. When an attack leaves them vulnerable, she transforms from a maiden daughter to a clever warrior. For survival, she orchestrates the siege of a rival's ship and now holds the devilish Scottish captain Aulay Mackenzie under her command.

Tied, captive, and forced to watch a stunning siren commandeer the Mackenzie ship, Aulay burns with the desire to seize control - of the ship and Lottie. He has resigned himself to a life of solitude on the open seas, but her beauty tantalizes him like nothing has before. As authorities and enemies close in, he is torn between surrendering her to justice and defending her from assailants. He'll lose her forever, unless he's willing to sacrifice the unimaginable....

Facing Adversity & Overcoming Loss

A really entertaining story voiced by an excellent narrator. The characters are
interesting and the conflicts keep the
action moving. I liked the unexpected
twist that was used to resolve the clouds
that threatened their lives and love.

Good Read

Derek Perkins is one of my favorite narrators. Many narrators have mono voices that almost ruin a book. He helps make this an interesting book!

Nicely ended

I was not enthralled with the overall story but stuck with it until the end. The ending was satisfying and not what I guessed and made me happy with take after all.

Not as good as the others in series

I have really enjoyed the other books in this series so far. This one not so much. Story line is really lacking. Didn’t feel like I got to know the characters like in other stories.

tough to get through

not sure why this one was so difficult for me to get through. I found Lottie a bit bland and I simply couldn't get into the story.

Highland Romance on the High Seas!

I really love Julia London’s Historical Romance and this one did not disappoint. The lead characters were strong and confident, yet they also had vulnerabilities that made them believable. The endearing secondary characters are pure icing on the cake. I enjoyed this book so much, I listened to all 10+ hours in a little over a day, which is saying something considering I have a full time job where I work 10-12 hours at a time. I can’t wait for the next book in this incredible series!
