In CRASHING INTO LOVE...
Fiona Steele has a great career, strong friendships, and a loving family. To an outsider, her life appears happy and fulfilling. But the one thing that's missing is true love, and the only man Fiona wants is the one she can't have, sinfully handsome and seductively intense Jake Braden - the man whose heart she broke, which she has regretted ever since.
As an LA stuntman, Jake Braden's at the top of his game. He's hired for all the best movies, hooks up with the hottest women, and lives an unencumbered lifestyle where his needs come first - and where he doesn't have to examine his life too closely. Except when he visits his family in his close-knit hometown of Trusty, Colorado, where he spends his time avoiding Fiona - the only woman who knows who he really is.
When Fiona's best friend is hired to act in Jake's movie, Fiona jumps at the chance to try to win him back. There's no denying the white-hot attraction burning between them. With every encounter, Fiona hopes Jake can't resist falling back into the love they once shared. But her well-orchestrated rendezvous doesn't go over well with the brooding heartthrob. Living in the fast lane is perfect for a guy who's buried his emotions so damn deep he's not sure he can remember how to feel - and he's not sure he ever wants to.
Jake and Fiona have been given a second chance to face their feelings for one another after 16 years of being apart. But can they deal with their past and move on?
In those 16 years, each of them have grown up and chased their own dreams and now they have a chance to face them together. They have an obvious chemistry but need to let down their defenses to move on.
2nd chance romances can be dicey and hard to write but Melissa has done a good job with this one. I like the narrator that she has chosen to read this book.. B.J. Harrison does a great job and believe me, the choice of narrator can make or break an audio book. All in all an enjoyable book.
This is a second chance at love romance. Jake ended up heart broken after high school has never gotten over the one who got away. Years later they meet up again, he has to decide if it is worth the chance at ending up broken again or having what the rest of his siblings have and finding true love.
BJ Harrison does an great job narrating this book!
This is all about second chances with love. Jake had is heart broken in high school, and has never gotten over the one who walked away. Years later when the meet up again, will she walk away again or will he take a chance to see If they can make it work now that they are all grown up?
This is book is part of an amazing series, The love a bloom, Bradens all these books are stand alones and HEA.
BJ Harrison does an amazing job narrating this book!
Well worth the credit.
I was so glad to finally get Jake's story, which is really Fiona's story also. I love second chance romances, and this one is a really good one. I love a woman that will go after what she wants, but can do it without being brazen. That is what Fiona, a scientist, does when she heads to Los Angeles to try to get back Jake, a very popular, sexy stuntman. This is two very different worlds colliding, but doing it beautifully. Melissa Foster has written one well written, beautiful, sweet, and steamy hot romance. I loved it. Then, since I listened to this book, instead of reading it, I would like to also sing my praises for B.J. Harrison, the narrator. He is one of the best. He does such a good job, and he does it by himself. Even though he is just one man, he can manipulate his voice so you can tell who is saying what. Also, I just love listening to his voice. With Crashing into Love, I give the book a 5+, and the narration a 5+.
What can I say but Smashing!! You never forget your first love. Some are lucky enough to get a second chance with their first love.
Jake and Fiona get that chance after breaking down walls that Jake has built around his heart after Fiona broke it 16 years ago. Fiona has always been in love with Jake. Jake has always loved Fiona even tho after she broke his heart he has hated her. Fiona decides she needs to take a leap of faith and try to break down Jake's walls.
They come together and find out that they are still as good together as they ever were but Fiona has to decide if she can live in Jake's new life or should she go back to her's and try a long distance relationship with him. They both decide what is most important in their lives and make big changes to make each others happiness a reality.
I was so excited to start reading Jake and Fiona's story that I read it in one day. I love it when you get a second chance with your first love. Sometimes it takes work and compromise but in the end it is all worth it. Jake seemed so angry in his brothers stories that I was excited to see him get his shot a love again. To find his happily ever after. BJ Harrison is back as the narrator and he does a great job. His voice leaves you wanting the story to never end.

Crashing Into Love: Jake Braden by Melissa Foster
I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.
Jake Braden and Fiona Steele were HS sweethearts who planned a future together right up until a few weeks before leaving for college when Fiona broke up with Jake, breaking him in the process.
A decade later, Jake went on to become a successful stuntman and Fiona a recognized geologist. While both are successful in their careers neither has found true love.
Jake refuses to risk his heart ever again or face his emotions and is a player through and through partaking of the actresses and models who come with his lifestyle.
Fiona has never been able to forget Jake and no man will ever measure up. She has the opportunity to work as her best friend's assistant on the movie that Jake is stunting for. She takes a leave of absence from her job for one month to try and see if there's a second chance for her and Jake.
This book was full of angst that made your heart ache for both characters. You come to understand Jakes anger, pain and fear. Fiona had a lot to accept when she stepped into Jake's world and there were times I put myself in her place and thought she's a stronger woman than I am.
Jake opens up again and is a true romantic and completely lovable hero.
Plenty of heat, believable drama and real love. B.J. Harrison is a perfect narrator and one of the very few who is believable for all characters.
Beautifully written and expertly narrated.
What did you love best about Crashing into Love: Jake Braden?
I loved the fact that Fiona didn't give up right away on Jake. She knew he would be broken from what she did them after high school but she didn't give up.
Who was your favorite character and why?
I LOVE Trish!! She encouraged Fiona to go for who/what she wanted and wouldn't let her back down.
What does B.J. Harrison bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
You get a different feel for the characters when you listen to BJ...it gives a sense of what they are actually feeling instead of trying to put your own thoughts with it.
If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?
A second change with you one and only
Jake and Fiona give it up. All the love, all the feels, all the conflict. Melissa Foster never disappoints.
