Loved Loved Loved this!

This was one of the sweet romantic books that you just wish you were a part of. I loved this book so much. Sarah Puckett did an amazing job as well. The story was so sweet it had me smiling during most of the book. It had very low angst and a bucket of sass and love. The ending was so great I smiled for a few hours afterwards. Highly recommend.

Western Second Chance Romance. Awesome Performance

I really loved learning about Lucas & Maddie, and I enjoyed following their new journey!

Brilliant perfomance by Sarah Puckett. Her western/country accent was delightful as she definitely nailed it, let alone she did an excellent male narration. However, I would have love it even more if this had been a dual narration (male & female narrators).

This is my first book by Auhtor C.A. Harris and definitely not my last. I really enjoyed "Whisper Forever", the story was beautifully well written; the angst, sweetness, sexyness and emotions were well balanced. The characters likeable and believable. Just love it!!

So much to love

CA Harms has mastered the art of romance and in this story she has melded several tropes that I love. She starts out with the childhood crush. Madelyn and Lucas were best friends when they were little, Maddie even stating they would get married someday. As in many cases, kids grow and find other interests and friends, and much to Maddie's dismay Lucas moves on. He is on his way to becoming a professional athlete when he sustains a career ending injury and comes home. Harms now weaves in the second chance romance. Lucas and Maddie have obstacles to overcome, some trust issues, some chasing your dreams and letting go the ones you love to seek that dream. What I really love about this book is that the story is real, not overly full of unneeded angst and is easy to believe. All qualities that make this listen a joy.

Narration by Sarah Puckett is always first class, but I found this one to be really exceptional. She gives each of the characters a slight southern twang and the differences between her male and female voices is done so well that at times I was thinking it was duet. I loved it and look forward to more of her work.

Whisper Forever

I LOVED this book! The childhood crush that turns into love is always a great story to listen to, but these two are the best. Watching the love grow between them as well as seeing some of the regret that Lucas has from his high school years was breathtaking. A love to pure between these two that they will definitely be able to overcome anything in the future. The narration in this book was perfect!

Young Love is Beautiful

I read this book 1st and then bought the Audible version. Sarah Puckett did an outstanding job of being both lead characters. I had no trouble remembering who was the 1st person for each chapter. And that Texas drawl was perfect.

I'm a fan of C.A. Harms and this book was right in line with her amazing stories. One of my favorite parts is the way Madelyn and Lucas were with each other even after they were together. Madelyn didn't turn into some docile sweet woman. She was still sassy and wasn't afraid to put her foot down. Lucas loved her through it all.

Such great romance

This is my introduction to C.A. Harris and I fell in love instantly! Maddie and Lucas are amazing characters and well written. I was rooting for them the entire time. Sarah Puckett's narration was perfection! This story, along with the narration, pulls you in, tugs at your heartstrings and doesn't let go. This was well done and I look forward to reading more from C.A. Harris!

AWESOME READ!

I absolutely loved this book! This book was full of romance, humor and heartache (swoon-worthy). The narration was superb and gave that extra flair to the story. This author did a great job with her characters builds and plot. This was my first book by this author but definitely will not be my last. I will be looking forward to reading other books by her. I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.

A great listen

I enjoyed this audio book very much it was a nice story of childhood best friends Madelyn & Lucas. Madelyn always told Lucas that they would marry one day but he said they were just friends. As they grow up they start to grow apart and Lucas leaves to follow his dreams. When he returns years later he wants the friendship with Madelyn back. I just loved they way this story was told it kept me gripped and wanting to know more. I loved that the two families live next to each other so the parents talk and they know how much Lucas regrets letting Madelyn go all those years ago. Sarah Puckett did a great job and I loved her voice for Lucas. This was a enjoyable listen.

Left me wanting more

I loved Lucas and Maddie, there is such a sweet history between the two of them. Not what I'd typically call a second chance romance, since they've never actually dated before, it did still have the feel of a couple re-finding each other.

A couple of great twists made things far from smooth sailing and helped make this sweet romance a lot of fun to listen to. The book is well written and the emotions of the characters come alive on the page, what they felt, I felt.

The character voices are very well done, easily recognizable they matched the characters accents and personalities. Great delivery, it was dynamic and carried the emotions of the scenes.

Countryside Southern Charm!

A beautiful allegory tale about childhood best friends Madelyn & Lucas. A sweet southern small town romance with a bit of angst, lighthearted, & witty southern charm. Chasing dreams while letting others go to chase that dream.
Narrator Sarah Puckett did excellent portraying southern drawl & the ability to differentiate between male & female characters is colossal. I absolutely loved Maddie's voice vocals. Her voice is clear, smooth, & modulated. The tone & pace are perfect and everything flows through smoothly. A candied sweet & sassy escapade listen.
