“Waaayyyy Late to the Party” Review

I LOVE LJ SHEN! Her books are magic!! I’ve read all her books multiple times and haven’t given one less than a 4 star rating. This book is no different. It has depth and meaning. As usual, beauty is found in the broken. The main characters breath life into one another and make each other whole. It’s perplex and lovely. However, a couple things did bother me with this one...first, Bane is literally a male gigolo when they meet and when they finally have sex...no protection. AND the only convo about this sexual encounter centers on the fact the h is on birth control. I’m sorry but he’s been screwing anything with a vagina and two legs for years yet nothing is said about cleanliness/testing (gross!). Also, Bane’s mom...I mean, I really don’t want my mom screwing friends my age...Ummm...not feeling it. Otherwise, excellent read! Still worthy of 5 stars with AMAZING narration. Worth your money/credit/time!!!

Loved! More for Bane & Jesse?

Christian Rummel is fantastic again. Savannah Peachwood always sounds like a 40 year old trying to be young again and just can't pull it off. She's supposed to be a 19 yo old siren in the end. No reach in the emotions, she had great material to work with and I just didn't buy it. Rummel carried this one!

Raw, intense and beautiful- must read!

I’m so glad I finally gave this book a chance. Bane’s character became a favorite. I loved his interaction with Jesse and how they both needed each other. L. J. Shen is gifted at showing both the darkness and the light of the human experience in a spectacular way.

Bad Boy Bane

Opposites collide in this twisted story of what wealth and privilege can get away with, but only for so long. Jesse, a girl with a rumored reputation and Bane, a man with a well-deserved one, pair up in an unconventional way in an attempt by her stepfather to draw her out if her shell. Through plot twists and surprising bends in the story, Jesse and Bane uncover hidden truths about themselves and each other. Together and separately, they build a road to redemption and revenge and a live neither of then knew they could have.
Very well executed, this book falls in line with the rest of the All Saints story lines un the Sinners of Saints Series.
The narrators did an amazing job with the snarky sarcasm and witty commentary. Christian Rummel was the voice to the unfazed and not so uncaring persona of Bane. Savannah Peachwood was also amazing in her depiction of Jesse.

I'm so happy they put Bane in the romance package I listened to viscous and ruckus and so wanted to hear this book and it was worth every minute of listening to it!! Great book and Great job by the author!
