Publisher's summary

Some things just won’t stay buried… at grave’s end.

It should be the best time of half-vampire Cat Crawfield’s life. With her undead lover, Bones, at her side, she’s successfully protected mortals from the rogue undead. But though Cat’s worn disguise after disguise to keep her true identity a secret from the brazen bloodsuckers, her cover’s finally been blown, placing her in terrible danger.

As if that wasn’t enough, a woman from Bones’ past is determined to bury him once and for all. Caught in the crosshairs of a vengeful vamp, yet determined to help Bones stop a lethal magic from being unleashed, Cat’s about to learn the true meaning of bad blood. And the tricks she’s learned as a special agent won’t help her. She will need to fully embrace her vampire instincts in order to save herself—and Bones—from a fate worse than the grave.

Critic reviews

“Each successive chapter in Frost’s exceptional Night Huntress series adds more complexity, death-defying action, and fiery romance. While expertly deepening Cat and Bones’ love story, Frost also keeps the plot revelations absorbing and the jeopardy remorseless. In an increasingly rich and vibrant genre, she continues to prove she’s a star.” ( Romantic Times)
“A can’t-put-down masterpiece that’s sexy-hot and a thrill-ride on every page. I’m officially addicted to the series.” (Gena Showalter, New York Times best-selling author)

Great performance

The reader/performer was great. Very versatile voice and accents. Not a bad story line. I listened to the two books before this one also.

Fun read! Love the characters!

Would you listen to At Grave’s End again? Why?

Probably not. It was fun the first time but it does not have the re-read ability for me. There was nothing ground breaking enough to make me feel like I would need to experience it twice.

What was one of the most memorable moments of At Grave’s End?

No spoilers here ;)

What about Tavia Gilbert’s performance did you like?

She does great voices. I really liked the way she did Bones' voice.

Good book

Any additional comments?

I can't get enough of Bones and Cat! The adventures the couple find themselves in are non-stop exciting, intersting, and attention grabbing. This story is well crafted with great world building. The stories can be listened to/ read independently from the others in the series but I recommend starting with book one.

Could have done without Tate!

Don't know why reviews had liked Tate because he was a greedy creep! Skipped over that stupid limousine scene with him and Cat were almost forced to have sex! So stupid but her love for her man never wavered. Still loved the book though.

Great as usual

As usual Jeaniene Frost has twists, turns, romance and just altogether good writing. I love her charactors and Tavia Gilbert does a great job portraying them. If you like Kim Harrison, Rachel Vincent, Patricia Briggs or anyone along that line, you'll love Jeaniene Frost. She has this "Night Huntress" series aong with a spinoff series about the other characters. Both are good and I'm looking forward to the next one ;o)

Loved This!

I adore this series and I'm so glad it's still living up to my expectations from the first time I read it. This time around the secondary characters left a big impression on me. I especially liked Vlad in this book (too bad his series made me despise him).

I love Cat. She's stubborn, protective of what's hers and a kick*ss fighter. Her relationship with Bones' can get rocky at times, but she doesn't back down easily or martyr herself. I like how she's grown and evolved from the first book when she used to go to a bar to seduce and stake a vampire a night.

I like Bones overall, but he can come off as too overprotective in quite a few situations. That's not what I would consider a quality and it sometimes annoys me to no end. Other than that, I like how he's brutally honest especially when it comes to making difficult decisions.

I consider this series to be a classic in the vampire genre. If you like vampires (that don't shine) with a dash of romance and gore, I recommend this series to the ends of the earth and back.

The Audio Book:

I liked everything about this book except Bones' voice. It's not at all what I first imagined when I first read these books (before the audio books released). My gripe with his voice is the overall pitch. I've never met a guy that spoke in that high of a pitch. Other than that, the narration was awesome.
