Determined to escape the matchmaking skills of London society, Alasdair Cynster - better known as Lucifer - heads for the English countryside. Nice story

Would you consider the audio edition of All About Love to be better than the print version?

Yes. I have a whole lot of <br/>Stephanie Laurens paper back and hardback books. I finally got tired of trying to read them as they were long and in the case of the paperbacks, the print was so small, it was tiring to read. I did not have this book and it was on sale, so I thought I would give it a try.<br/><br/>I really thought Simon Prebble did a marvelous job and really helped the book.<br/><br/>It was a nice story with a murder mystery, romance and sex.

Another one bites the dust

historical-romance, cynsters, cozy-mystery, erotica, murder
Read from January 01, 2013 to October 10, 2016

Perfectly delightful as a stand alone, yet it is part of an interesting series. The rake and the spinster are both anti marriage, yet wind up married by the end of the book. They meet because of a murder and work together to track down the murderer and there is lots of action along the way.
Simon Prebble does marvelous work as narrator once again.

Cynstered Out

What did you like best about All About Love? What did you like least?

Simon Prebble is a wonderful narrator, but this story was too predictable. Lucifer was too much like his brother and cousins, and his love interest was too much like those of the other Cynsters. It got tiresome.

The last of the Bar Cynster meets his match.

Delightful love story and intriguing murder mystery all in one. Lucifer and his lady fall for each other and solve the mystery. Enjoyed it all.

Great Listen

Enjoyable read and conclusion to the Bar Cynster men. The story line had a nice amount of mystery and romance. Simon Prebble is a favorite and the story comes alive when he reads.

5stars: The last member of the Bar Cynster

The last book of the 6 members of the Bar Cynster, but not the last Cynster book. The series that's best- the standard- for historical romance. Prebble doesn't do female voices very well, but well enough to differentiate. He EXCELS at bringing the right emotion in the right places to really bring the story across. Again, the standard for other narrators.

Predictable Formula

Would you consider the audio edition of All About Love to be better than the print version?

Haven't read the book.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

Didn't have an extreme reaction....the formula of 'boy meets girl, becomes girl's protector/savior, then boy & girl get involved & fall in love, but before the happy ending can happen, many trials/tribulations happen but the happy ending DOES take place' makes for an easy read....after all, isn't that the reason why we read a romance novel---for the boy to get the girl & live happily ever after??

another great cynster story--

Would you consider the audio edition of All About Love to be better than the print version?

I do not read what I listen to. I just don't see the point of doing so.

What was one of the most memorable moments of All About Love?

The weaving of the story followed her usual recipe...the budding relationship...

Have you listened to any of Simon Prebble’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

Simon Prebble IS the voice of the cynster books! It's just not the same without him and I know I can rely on him!

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

Stephanie Laurens always delivers, what else is there to say?

Any additional comments?

Huge double thumbs up. Reliable, enjoyable... a Cynster to fall in love with and a story you KNOW you can trust to deliver!

A True "Bar Cynster" Fan

If you like books that continue to visit old and new members of a family, these Cynster's are for you. Good twists and mild mystery inhanse the quests of these strong minded gentlemen and stronger minded ladies.

dumb characters, predictable plot

The story line was too predictable and the characters are so dumb. Don't go in there or you'll be killed! But they go in anyway. I was annoyed for most of the book, which is not what I look for in a nice romance.
