Publisher's Summary

Three sinfully handsome dukes, three scores to settle, three hearts about to meet their matches. All in one thrilling new trilogy from New York Times best-selling author Madeline Hunter.

Notorious nobleman seeks revenge

Name and title: Adam Penrose, Duke of Stratton. Affiliation: London's elite Society of Decadent Dukes. Family history: Scandalous. Personality traits: Dark and brooding, with a thirst for revenge. Ideal romantic partner: a woman of means, with beauty and brains, willing to live with reckless abandon. Desire: Clara Cheswick, gorgeous daughter of his family's sworn enemy.

Faint of heart need not apply

Clara may be the woman Adam wants, but there's one problem: She's far more interested in publishing her women's journal than getting married - especially to a man said to be dead-set on vengeance. Though with her nose for a story, Clara wonders if his desire for justice is sincere - along with his incredibly unnerving intention to be her husband. If her weak-kneed response to his kiss is any indication, falling for Adam clearly comes with a cost. But who knew courting danger could be such exhilarating fun?

Dangerous Dukes....

Duke #1 has his tale revealed in this first book of a new trilogy. I found it well written, attention grabbing and entertaining. The narration was excellent and the heat quite hot!!!! All in all a good book I will listen to again.

boring storyline!!!

I am certain I can not finish this book. Predictable, unrealistic and uninteresting! Not a book I can recommend.

Disappointing

Not one of this author's best works. The story had an interesting premise, and the conclusion was unexpected, thus providing a nice twist to the plot. For me, however, the story depended too much on the sexual encounters and not enough on other plot elements. I also found the narrator of the audiobook adequate, but less than inspired in her performance.

Couldn’t finish

I life historical romance novels. I do. But I couldn’t follow this story line at all. The narration was very poor. I never found the story line. The author repeated herself over and over. I just couldn’t finish. Couldn’t even get half way through. I hope I didn’t pay much for this book.

Two Independent Souls Find Love

This is an enjoyable, light romp between two Independent people who never intended for their hearts to get involved but, like most romances, the heart wins in the end. I loved Charlotte Gray's narration as well! There is a surprise ending you won't see coming!

Dangerous duke? Dangerous narrator.

Would you consider the audio edition of The Most Dangerous Duke in London to be better than the print version?

No. the narrator pauses between sentences which becomes very tiresome. The characters were hard to distinguish. I would have been better off reading the book rather than listening. I gave the narrator too many stars. On second thought I would give her two.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Adam and Clara. Sweet love story.

What does Charlotte Gray bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

Frustration!

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

No, perhaps with Rosalyn Landor narrating.

Any additional comments?

Loved the story and the characters. Sort of a Romeo and Juliet twist to it.
