Publisher's summary

Abandoned by his mail-order bride, Silas Jonesey has fought an uphill battle to recover from a pattern of poor choices. Now his prayers for reconciliation have finally come true, and his estranged wife has contacted him with her whereabouts.

Kate Dawson was supposed to be a mail-order bride, but upon realizing she'd been deceived about her intended groom, she's now settled into life as a schoolteacher. When the mother of a student passes away, Kate assumes she'll take on care of nine-year-old Anthony - until two men suddenly show up in town, claiming to be the boy's father.

Silas can see Anthony loves Kate, so he enlists her help in reaching out to the boy and attempting to prove his paternity to the court. When a common interest in Anthony leads to an interest in each other, and Silas and Kate begin to think they can overcome their rocky start, neither is prepared for the secrets and past hurts that have yet to come to light. Can Silas, Kate, and Anthony's wounded souls bind them together, or will all that stands between them leave them lonely forever?

Clean Christian sort of romance

Clean Christian story with a very mild romance. It was interesting but there were situations that were repetitive.

The same old problem

So this book had me upset. This is my personal conclusion of the book because I really like a lot of Melissa’s other books. I think what made me upset about this book was Anthony and him doing the same old thing. He was very spoiled. He felt he could take matters into his own hands as a 9 and 10 year old. I guess I didn’t understand the concept of the problems they kept on facing with Anthony. A lot of the story I had to fast forward because I just got tired of them running around town doing the same old thing. The best part of the story was the last chapter.

So absolutely wonderful!

The last book in this series which was another story from the heart.

Finally Cyrus gets his story and we follow his journey to finding a family.

Sorrow, a little suspense and joy all come together. Of course Pilar is a master at putting emotion in her voice that heightens the authors writing. Wonderful

Either let it happen or NOT

I understand conflict but this book is drawing it out too far! There's another 3 hours left and it's gone on long enough.
