Publisher's Summary

We all tend to hold onto things that have happened in the past. It can feel like we are pulling a cart behind us with all are troubles and worries; it slows us down, and we can become tired, depressed, even jealous, as life seems so easy for others.

All we need to do is let go of the cart, and we will feel lighter and free, but often we have held onto it so long that it has become part of us. Many of the people we know are also carrying carts, so it can seem normal. We talk about how heavy our cart is with anyone that will listen; at no point do we realize that we can set down that heavy cart that is keeping us from God's love.

We need to learn to let go. In this book, I will share with you stories of people who struggled with letting go and what happened when they did.

God is only in the present moment; he is not in the past or future. The moment that we let go of the past God will turn the page to the next chapter of our life, which will be much better than the last.

It will take courage and faith, but I invite you to take this journey with me. By the end of the book, God will shine a light into your life that will illuminate you to....

...the power of letting go.

Flowchart

When you're in distress all hell break loose in your thinking and feeling. Even prayers don't seem to help. When you're drowning it takes only a simple thing like a wood to save you and make you afloat to survive....... Until help comes. Until you come back to your senses that all is well and this is not the end or the doom lurking in your mind. This audio is that simple wood for me. I don't need a complicated ship to get by. I just need. A wood to come back to my senses that all is well inspite of. Thanks to the author

Great idea, but fell short of my expectations

This books explains that you need to 'let things go' that are out of your control. Don't look back, look forward. Don't question why, just accept and let it go. However, it doesn't say HOW to let it go. He says 'don't get depressed,' 'accept things you cannot control.' What about the people who can't seem to let it go? People who have depression and anxiety (my anxiety actually got WORSE while listening to this book, since it was not explaining HOW to let things go!). It's not a real waste of time, since it's not very long, but I do think I could have used the time to listen to another book that explains the HOW part.

Short but powerful

A little more than 6 months ago, I was devastated with a very painful breakup with the man with whom I was planning to spend the rest of my life. I drew close to God and have experienced spiritual growth, but I still had times that I felt intense pain and most recently, struggled with anger. At some point, I realized that being angry was taking back what I thought I had given to God. I had been working a lot of over time and was worn out and feeling so discouraged so I opened my Kindle and looked through my library for something encouraging. I started listening to the message of this book and it really affected my life. I felt God had led me to this message and that it was time to just let go of all of it. No need for justification or vindication; just let it go. This book may be short but it is loaded with wise words. I have felt a huge weight come off of me and I can truly say that the emotional pain and the anger are gone. I was able to step back and see the things in the relationship that were lacking, but now, instead of feeling angry about it, I feel thankful that the relationship broke up because I believe God has better things already arranged for me and when He knows I am ready to receive them, I'll have His best.

good basic Christian principles

if you are a new Christian, this is a great book to give you some basic principles of moving on from Life struggles, but if you are a mature Christian looking for something deeper, you may want to look elsewhere.

Let go, trust God and Let God.

A very good book on letting go. It is simple, concise and easy to follow. It encourages and motivates you to let go and let God. Bottom line is we need to trust God that all things will work out for our good even though it seemingly looks like we have been disadvantaged and severely disappointed. Remember God is on our side. He will lead us to what's even better than what we have lost or left behind if we are willing to let go and trust Him. Be blessed. Stay encouraged. Please read this book!!!!!

Great Book!!!

I downloaded this book by accident but God knew exactly what I needed. I am on a journey of forgiveness. The author has everything I like stories, scriptures and words of encouragement. The scriptures were a great point of reference some I didn't know. The some total of this book is God is in Control not us. Learn to let go immediately.. I never write reviews..

Very Encouraging Message

My Mama went home to be with her Lord and savior end of 2016. I miss her greatly! She made me realize how important family is. I grieved for my loss for several months and was depressed. But heading and reading encouraging messages from God, I was able to break the cycle and start living again. I look forward to the day I will join them. In the meantime, I'm living and trying to stay positive and make each day count.

Helpful - relevant - loved it!

I loved this audiobook. It was recommended to me. Great narrator too. Helps to give some perspective to the bigger picture. Helps to reduce and manage worry if applied.
This is written by a Rev. and so is from a Christian perspective. Very well structured, not too intense but also not too fleeting. Thank you

Feeling quite emotional.

Thanks to this book, I'm coming to terms with what I'm going through. It felt like I've read it at the right time: nothing seems stable, lots of disappointments and unfairness around, uncertainty about the very core of who I am and what I am doing in my life...
The book reminds me of my religious roots and how to trust what we don't understand. If you have a problem with the religious part, you can still enjoy the book, because they are wise words of comfort.
