Powerful and addicting!

What an action packed, romantic suspense! This is the continuation of the Mine Series and picks up just where the cliffhanger from book 1 left us. Yvette is recovering and is heartbroken now that she knows Antony is marrying Anna. And the story from there goes on! Antony is busy trying to become the head of all the New York family crime syndicate. Little does he know the undermining going on, as well as the crazy people he comes in contact with. There is so much happening between families, who needs protection and why, who is selling drugs, who is Yvette interested in, how can Anna get Antony's attention, it can get overwhelming at times, and then all of a sudden it comes together! And the entire time, the love between Antony and Yvette continues, the passion never yielding. This mafia romance is fun and exciting and will sure to please. Make sure you listen to book 1 first, it is not a standalone and you don't want to miss any part of it!

Narration for this story by Michael Johnson is incredible. He needs so many voices, including accents, and he is spot on through the entire book. It's like a movie going on, and he makes it an enjoyable view. I will be looking for more by him.

Wow!!! What a book!

Release Me by Samantha Lee starts where Resist Me ends. I was immediately pulled into this book and wanted to know what was going to happen to Yvette and Antony, knowing Antony was marrying Ana. Crime family books have always appealed to me, with how dedication to family comes first. The twists in this book were outstanding! I never saw the ending coming, which I loved! Michael Johnson did an awesome performance with this book. He is incredible with his accents and character voices. I could hear exactly who was speaking. I highly recommend listening to this series. I will definitely listen to more books by this author and narrator.

Another surprising ending! More drama and twists!

As with many listeners, I wanted to know what finally ends up happening between Yvette and Antony after that cliffhanger ending! Who does Antony chose, Yvette or Ana? What do we really know about Ana, Antony, and Yvette? There were many twists and turns in part 2 as well which I enjoyed as it kept me engaged. More drama amongst all the characters as if all the drama in part 1 wasn't enough! In part 2, you will see Antony grow and will definitely get to know more of Ana. But wait, there is another surprising ending that I didn't see coming! Really enjoyed how Samantha chose to write part 2! As far as narration, I thought the pace and along with use of emotions were appropriate. One can differentiate between the dialogue and body of the texts. The different character voices were appropriate.Both Samantha and Michael did an awesome job! Tag team duo! So, go ahead and listen to part 2 as you won't be disappointed!!!
