Awakening

Why did you wait so long to write this book? It is a wake up call for a lot of our brothers and sisters to start reading their Bible and worshipping the Lord like we suppose too

BACK TO SQUARE ONE

Having started with Pagan Christianity, I wanted to read this. I am not disappointed just a bit overwhelmed by the overall message to us as the Body of Christ,
I now want the hard copy so I can study and apply.

Mostly Good

Good narration and very easy to follow. Most of this book, probably 80-90%, I can fully agree with. However I found it very anti-athority. I do understand, in-context of why, just that it seemed to be a very dominant theme throughout the book. Mostly good teaching with excellent scripture references. And relistic standing arguments of why we are doing modern church wrong.

Exceptional and thought provoking!

This book not only met my expectations, it exceeded them. A great follow up to Pagan Christianity. Very good read.

this is the most eye opening book I've ever read.

Anyone who can agree that the church does not resemble the church of God should take a look at this work.

WOW !

Any additional comments?

Thank you for writing what was on my heart, the questions I have, and giving such practical depth to Grace and the church.

Spend your time doing something else

What disappointed you about Reimagining Church?

I read this book because I too am interested in re-emagining the Church. Not out of disillusionment but because the Church is so central to God's plan and we obviously miss the mark more than hit it. I do not care what reimagining looks like so long as we take positive steps towards the heart of God. I strained to find any value in this book to that end. I get the sense that the authors past hurts has distorted his ability to speak reasonably to this topic. I certainly could have benefited from healthy, honest conversation even if I did not end up at the same conclusion but I think this book lacked both. If you are stuck in the worst forms of institutionalized Church under the domineering authority of an ego maniac then read this -- it will help. If not, find another book

This is what my heart has been wanting for years

I've grown more and more restless with how church is done over the years. This book showed me why and what church was meant to be

Always thought church fellowship should be this.

The Holy Spirit wants church to be this way.
Growth comes from hearing and obeying God's word. Not bossy controlling leadership.

A lot to think about

Do not read/listen with out reading /listening to 'Pagan Christianity' first. Very Insightful, though I feel that reading the book version would be more helpful so that you can check and rechecked the scriptures used to make his case. Whether you agree or disagree I believe every believer should read this book. It will challenge you! Frank makes a lot of very valid point.

Something that's got to happen

An excellent look at what church is and how we've started applying applications when what is really timeless is the principle. A challenging listen and Frank doesn't pull any punches. If you are ok with being offended/ challenged about some of your beliefs this is the book for you. Will lead to growth.
