Publisher's Summary

The punishment must end.

To his dismay, Spencer Edelton, the venerable Marquess of Carey, has fallen in love with a whore. But Miss Beatrice Primrose is no common strumpet. She is a siren who enflames his desires and provokes him to do the most wicked, wanton things to her.

After suffering the wrath of Lord Carey, Miss Beatrice Primrose wants more than a little revenge. But if she stays in his company, she risks revealing the truth of what happened between his family and hers. It is a truth she must keep secret from him at all cost.

Spencer knows there is no future between them, and he must let Miss Primrose go before his brother returns to England. To safeguard her family - and her own heart - Beatrice must put as much distance between her and Lord Carey as possible.

If only passions did not burn so hot...If only submission were not so seductive...nor punishment so sublime...

Poor reading in last chapters

There were too many reading mistakes and background noises in the last chapters. Otherwise a good listen

Lordy Lordy this is hot

His lordship has completely gotten something wrong, thinking his younger brother had been taken advantage of by none other than a Harlot, so he decides to turn the tables on the Mistress.. I just don't think they both expected to begrudgingly enjoy the roll reversals.

He has at long last found out Miss Primrose's secret.. What will he do with it

I enjoyed this book as well as the Narrator, who also happens to be the author. Can't wait to read the other books in this series.. it definitely left you hanging

I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.

Really enjoyed series

This is a great sexy listen. The defiant Mistress Prim and her vengeful Marquee ( or whatever he was lol). The setting was fitting and the kink was not over the top. In this last set Ms Brown author/narrator did not edit out the flubs but it was educational listening to her work on the inflections and emotions. It was only one section and afterwards the narration continues without interruption. Hats off to this multi talented artist. Would rather hear her narrate than some of the others out there. This series has a little bit of everything - quite tasty!!

Bad editing!

I liked this story, but the editing for Part XVI through somewhere around character 19 was horrible. She kept making mistakes and stop and re read several times and these were not edited out. Very poor on the editor. Clearly they did not listen to this book before uploading.

Who edited this book

I’m curious to know if anyone listened to this book before they released it. The editing is atrocious.

re-recordings

the reading of this section was riddled with re-recordings. She read? stopped and reread. it wasn't just a jumping in the play back

Ugh

This story is pretty good but the author also narrates it and is constantly rereading sentences and does not edit it out so she says the same sentence over and over through out the book....ugh. This was the last book in the series and the worst read by her. This one definitely needs to be redone!!!!

Author not narrator!

Terrible narration - not good in any book she’s narrated, but ridiculously bad in this segment. Her voice is pleasant, however sooooo many mispronunciations throughout her readings. In regency England the ton is not pronounced like a measure of 2000 pounds. Numerous other words sounded as if she were trying unsuccessfully to replicate the speech of the time. This segment would be at least an hour less if she didn’t stop and and reread a portion of every few sentences. Can hear her click the recorder off and on with lots of background noise. If I didn’t want to hear the conclusion I’d have returned unread.

Rubbish audio.

Excellent story but the audio on the was terrible. It has many repeated words/pauses in one long session in particular. It needs to be edited by a professional audiologist.
