Epitome of a comfort read!

I loved it and had so much fun.

Yes, it is a mixture of lots of well known tropes/ideas to make a beautifully delicious book desert.

Kai and Paedyn and their slow burn tension. 🤌

A Less-Than-Supernatural Heroin

Powerless is an action packed, edge-of-your-seat thrill. Definitely a must read for fans of Sara J Maas, Rebecca Yarros and Carissa Broadbent. The stakes are high and the tension between the MC couple is deliciously palpable! I liked the smooth transition between past and present events and the cohesion between plot line as well as character and world building made this first instalment of the trilogy a great first impression! I ABSOLUTELY cannot wait to read the next one this summer!!!

I care so much about the main characters

I am distraught, relieved and angry all at the same time. Reckless cannot come soon enough. Not spicy but it does not need it! I thought the voice actors were also great!

Need the second book!!

I really liked this book, just enough tension to keep you reading! I would highly recommend this.

Hate to have to wait for the second!

This was such a great story! Loved the characters, the plot, the banter. There wasn’t one moment of the book that bored me. I cannot wait to see what happens next!

I cannot wait for the next book. The banter was AMAZING!!!! Between the characters and the story was a better version of hunger games with a stronger FMC and a fun magic system. I need more please!

Loved it all, felt like I was there! I can’t wait for her next book!

Best book I’ve listened to in a LONG time!

The narrators are great! Dont let the first time we hear the male narrator fool you; he has one chapter where he sounds almost Irish or Scottish or something? But that goes away almost immediately and never comes back.

One thing I want to say is this book does not have a happy ending, and since the second audiobook isn’t out yet it’s a very sad time for me, I try to avoid these situations but oh well! Hopefully that helps someone else out.
