Perfect for Spooky Season

This book was perfect to listen to while setting up for spooky season. The narrator does a fantastic job with the voices and the story over all is fantastic. I did not expect the descriptions of the ghosts to get so detailed and creepy I could imagine it as a horror movie! Great twists and a good touch of spice to it. I really hope there is a sequel in the works!

Intoxicating!

This book was dark sultry and spooky while still being light funny and romantic! A combination of classic Gothic horror Agatha Christie and Death Takes a Holiday. The narrator made every character come to life with exquisitely unique and almost languid voices. A perfect way to begin the autumn spooky time mood reading binge. I look forward to book 2!

Such a good read!!!!

I loved the storyline, although quick paced, it was easy to follow along with which is especially great if you’re like me and like to listen to books while doing other tasks! The characters were so well written! The ending through me for a loop! I feel like many murder mysteries tend to be easy to figure out, but I never would’ve guessed. Never loved Death more than in this book.

Captivating book with many surprises

Great book, I enjoyed listening to it with it's many surprises.I would listen or read it again.

Excellent

This is exactly what I was looking for…. A little romance, a mystery and intriguing characters. The narrator is good too, although at first I thought she might be a little too “calm” for my taste but her style really grew on me.
I listened once and when it was over, I listened again straight away to get a better idea of how all the pieces fell into place….plus, I just wasn’t ready to leave Signa’s world just yet.
I’m eagerly awaiting the second installment. There’s so much more to learn about these characters. I can’t wait!

The author had me guessing to the very end. A very enjoyable diversion. Good beach read.

It may have murder and poison but it was just a fun light hearted read! I look forward to listening to foxglove. The performance was wonderful very clear when speaking and fun voices.
