Publisher's summary

Being a defective marks me in the eyes of the Solis Fae. Wingless. Magicless. Weak.

To my kind, I’m nothing—not when strength is needed to survive the perpetual snow and ice that shrouds our northern continent in endless winter.

But I’ve persevered, living a meaningful yet simple life with my sister...until the hated Crown Prince of the Winter Court thunders into our village.

Prince Norivun’s massive black wings and potent magic cloud my senses and steal my breath. He’s beautiful yet brutal, so when he whisks me away and locks me in his castle I’m certain my death is tomorrow’s promise. Yet my end doesn’t come, not when the prince looks at me with hunger in his gaze while revealing the true reason for my abduction. Now I’m faced with an impossible choice—either join forces with the hated prince who’s robbed me of everything I love or watch our kingdom start a devastating war.

Court of Winter is book one in a four-book enemies-to-lovers fae fantasy romance that takes place in Krista Street’s Supernatural World. This series contains steamy romance, a strong female fae who refuses to bow, a morally gray prince whose brutality knows no bounds, and a deadly tangle of royal strife and intrigue. Magical all around

I was skeptical at first. But Court of Winter had the right mixture of story, darkness, and heroism. I was afraid this was going to be overly dark, with the MMC constantly putting our girl down. But she’s a strong harem, and the real story develops quite beautifully.

Great new fantasy world

Half the time I was cold by the winter in this world, but I still thought that was at least original.
Storyline is same old but nevertheless good character build up and you end up loving both the siblings and the main characters.

The narrator..

makes this intolerable at times. The story is good, minus some little things that are annoying (a millee? Really. You’re just going to add some extra letters and call it a different unit of measurement? Girl just say mile) but the narrator is the most annoying person ever. She sounds like she’s going to burst into tears for half of the book and it makes the main a whiney, sniveling weakling instead of a woman with a backbone. I wasn’t going to finish it but then I switched to reading it on kindle and it got so much better.
I’ll do a real review of the series on Goodreads, but I had to talk about this narrator.

Interesting story

Definitely an interesting story. The narrator though does make the FMC seem EXTREMELY whiny. Not sure that is the author’s intention, but that’s the way it comes off. She needs a backbone as well. Hope in the coming books she doesn’t seem so helpless.

OKAY KRISTA🤌

Enraptured. Plain and simple. Street straight up SERVED AND LEFT NO CRUMBS….the fact that I listened to this in two days is what has me wondering what in the world I was doing before I read this. I’m here for it.

Basic romance

Idk why all these stories are basically the same. And for the life of me i don’t understand why the FMC always has to be so anti violence. It really is crazy.

twist and turns

this book is a great read. Main character has to figure out her feelings and tye Rollercoaster that comes with it. The prince that knows she is his mate but won't say anything. I can't wait for part two to be released. The performance from the reader was great I was able to get through it in two days.

Great Fae fantasy novel

I like the Fae aspect of the plot and the narrator did a great job conveying all of the characters voices and emotions.

I love Krista street now

I ate up all these books. even read the last one on Kindle because I couldn't wait for it to be an audiobook. looking forward to the last one coming out soon. I went and read another one of her series as well. While her prose lacks poetry (basically the opposite of divine rivals in writing style) and I don't know that any one quote is magnificent or beautiful, she does a great job of making characters you care about. Women who are strong but believable in their responses and the relationships. Based on the few series I have read of hers the men WORSHIP the woman and would do anything for her and doesn't care for other woman. IMO anything romance related should be that way. I want the man to worship his girl. Even if he is misguided he should always be focused on her and as a writer Krista street really captures that. Is it cheesy? yes. is it fun and spicy? also yes.
