Well-written, interesting short stories that significantly increased my portuguese vocabulary and improved my comprehension. Looking forward for more.

Challenging, but perfect for beginners.

You’re going to have trouble finding good learning material in Portuguese as a language learner. Thankfully, this book has been created to solve these types of issues. Recommended.

Excellent book

This is a wonderful book for those who are new to learning Portuguese. Very helpful for beginners.

Intermediate Plus

Definitely not for beginners. I would suggest that intermediate level learners would appreciate the support much better. Also, female characters with female voices would help with comprehension.

Fantastic source of learning in Portuguese!

I’ve been thinking of doing a tour of Brazil soon, so this book was a must have for me… I’m very happy with it. Will continue buying books from this brand, for sure!

This is a very good introduction to Portuguese, appropriate for all age levels, and a very necessary book if you want to start learning Portuguese successfully.

Specific, and really helpful.

If you have tried to learn Brazilian portuguese the conventional way, had some difficulties and hope for a new way; this book is a breath of fresh air. It teaches standard Brazilian Portuguese vocabulary in a very interesting manner (stories). The stories are introduced in Portuguese (which might require some basic background to follow), and the meaning is given in English (to allow English learners get a good grasp of some misunderstood words). The quiz and vocabulary summary at the end of each section is a critical activity that helps the listener to really evaluate their progress. Overall, excellent curriculum, stories and narration.

Great for Portuguese Students (an instructors perspective)

This audiobook is a great addition any student’s toolbox. It provides clear stories with comprehension questions, vocab, and perfect pronunciation.

I would recommend this book for any student/teacher at the end of 1st semester university/1st year high school and above. The stories introduce concepts that are found in day to day life, and audio itself allows students to read along with ease. The questions at the end of the chapter help to gauge comprehension, and the difficult vocabulary has been defines. Context clues help with the rest, as does the English summary.

All in all, I would recommend this to any teacher or student who is looking for good introductory stories in the language.

Excellent for Beginners.

I am learning Portuguese for my job. I started other books—spent hours...;—this book is faaaaaar superior. Listening to short stories is a great way to keep the reader's attention AND it helps us learn the rhythm/flow of speech. Also, the vocabulary lessons aid with learning the words as well as the correct pronunciation of the alphabet, which is key for conversation and listening. For example, te is pronounced ch (English)i; de > ge; rr > h; and so on.
