Good follow-up to book 1!

Sol is one of my favorites of the guys and I loved his focused book where he mates with our quirky Qilin! I love how cuddly and protective he is and how domineering he can be in the bedroom haha. And add in the cherry on top with his fun times with Killian and I wanna be in that sandwich all day long!!

I think book 2 in this series built on nicely with book 1, a lot of tension and disagreements within the group that lead to people going off on their own when they probably shouldn't. I was kinda confused with the Ringmaster, because he has ample opportunity to do things but just doesn't. I know from listening to more of the books he doesnt have everything sparking right upstairs, if you know what I mean, but that wasn't really apparent early on. I thought the flow was off with him/didnt get hit with his villainous ways because of it (why I leaned towards the 4 stars when I would give the overall audiobook book a 4-4.5 stars). I felt so bad for Jack and all he had to endure, but happy to see finally something went right for him. I loved seeing the mating connection with him and Carlyle and hope that is used in upcoming books too. Loved seeing Carlyle channel her dragon mate as well, their powers are pretty cool!

Enjoyed the steam level of this series. Yes Carlyle hooks up with a couple of them so far, but the story/plot is more of a focus even though the Qilin gets her power boosts from the sexy times with them. I enjoy Dair's relationship with Carlyle and because I am on book 4 at this point, I know Killian finally gets on board, I am happy with him and Carlyle. I feel so bad for the characters who have the extra baggage from their former lovers or supposed family. So many things to unravel with everyone. Still so many secrets, so many of the characters holding back from the Qilin and each other that tensions are going to continue to be high until they start letting their walls down and being honest with each other. I did enjoy the action in this one, battles and confrontations were good, seeing more of the group's powers come to life.

Narration was spectacular, the emotions in this one were heightened because of Jack's torture and imprisonment and Carlyle having to deal with a lot of the ramifications and guilt and pain. Both narrators did a great job, no bad feedback from me! I do listen on 1.4X speed (little slower for me than normal) because Lucas is super fast when he is doing certain accents and its tough for me to follow. No complaint, just an observation.

If you enjoy PNR RH series, you should definitely give this series a chance ❤️

Duet narration with amazing accents!

Duet narration with Lucas Webley and Vanessa Moyen was amazing! Lucas shows off his huge range of accents and Vanessa shows her impressive energy and emotion.

The harem has 6 guys and this book def picks up the spice! If you are wanting a really complex fantasy and epic adventure this may not be the one for you. This series definitely has plot and clearly defined unique characters, but it’s fun and spicy. I think it is definitely enhanced by the audio!

Good-jumps from one point with no background

I felt there are a few scenes where there was no background .
Also these guys are suppose to be the best of the best but they keep getting their butts kicked by the RM. Ole Carl’s also is suppose to be all mighty abc tough but age gets exhausted quickly and hasn’t really trained.
So part of me wonders why they think they are big BA’s? I kind the book, just a few things where I’m like... huh?
I do enjoy it and it has been entertaining and great mindless listen!

Keeps getting better!

This series keeps getting better. . Carlyle and guys need to figure out how to save Jack from the Ringmaster. Lots of steamy scenes which I loved. Carlyle is trying to understand all of them more and doing whatever she can to help them. As if things weren't hot enough now we are going to add a merman to the story. I can't wait to learn more about him. I love how Carlyle says things out loud not realizing she is. It adds humor to the story. I can't wait for the next book.

Great world

I love the world this series is set in. The ringmaster is creepy enough to keep things interesting but not so much I don’t enjoy the story.

Sooo I tried...

I don’t want to be that person who judges someone else’s work harshly, I honestly feel bad writing this review. I just want to inform others who might come across this book prior to spending time (more importantly $$) on something that in my opinion is being dragged out by sooo MUCH sex. Now if that’s what you came here for, you’ve come to the right place. I however was under the impression that there was going to be this great adventure/ storyline and maybe it is but it’s been dragged out into multiple books that are mostly sex scenes, the storyline is kind of an afterthought. I’m trying not to spoil it for other readers because it has potential after you get past the fumbles. The author created a pretty cool world that just hasn’t lived up to its potential for me. It was hard to connect or become invested because at the end of each book (I’ve read 2) there are these predictable fight scenes where the FMC stumbles into being the hero or she irritated the day lights out of me with dense reactions. Hey! Maybe It’s just not my cup of tea and someone else will love it. Just leaving this here to let you guys know I went through 2 of the book in the series and couldn’t connect.
