Danger and intrigue

This was an interesting book. Some sad things happened. I was able to figure out a clue that was given during the book but it was hard to tell which direction the book was going to take. I kept wondering why the girls wouldn’t turn to people and ask for help but the had reasons to mistrust the police. The book wraps up the main issues but it left room for more books in the series. I’m looking forward to listening to more. The narrator did a fine job.

What a great story

The treacherous story. What these girls went through was terrifying. They were so courageous. The 2 boys were very brave to help them even though it put them in danger. Great job on this story.

intense

Very intense... I thought the story well thought out but I didnt like the fact it was a cliff hanger. That's not to say the story wasnt good...it was & I'll be looking for the next listen as soon as I finish the review!

Fast paced and action packed

This book is fast paced and action packed. Four girls become captives of a criminal enterprise. This is the story of how they persevere, escape, and get out of numerous entanglements trying to get home.

I can't wait to read the next book!

Interesting read; cliffhanger ending

Interesting read with a bit of a cliffhanger ending. While Detective Carl Hamilton is investigating a homicide, Jaci Rivera and her best friends are kidnaped and taken to Canada. Give this book a listen/read to find out how these journeys come together. Great narration.

Adventure and mystery

I really enjoyed this book. The three girls find themselves in horrible circumstances, having been kidnapped, but they push through the hard spots. I have a lot of admiration for the three young ladies. The introduction of Neil and Ricky adds some unexpected twists to the story. In all this is a great story about three teenage girls dealing with some pretty crappy situations. I am eager for the next book.
The narrator does a great job with this book. I just always wish there was more voice inflection to show different characters with some difference so it is easier to follow who is speaking in conversations.

A Great Listen

How does hanging out at the mall turn into your worst nightmare? Easy, your ride is late and you're the witness to a jewelry store break in, multiply that by four. You and your three friends' lives will never be the same. With believable characters and a twisting suspenseful plot, you'll find yourself listening much longer then you intended. And even though, I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request, and have voluntarily left this review, I will be getting the next book.

Excellent Fast Moving Mystery

This story has a creative plot with unparalleled character development and a full well defined setting or settings. It moves rapidly and create " edge of your chair " drama from beginning to end. The naration enhance the story and with a quality of naration that equals that of some of the best male voices. All of the TH Heiner books I have read reflect a craft and skill that places her in the top of her game regardless of genre this is no exception and a must listen.

Half a book

Not a terrible story but I've read better. Lots of coincidences & convenient happenings that are not really believable or realistic but on the whole the plot is good and the characters are not too bad. Definitely more likely to appeal to the YA market than to adults in my opinion.

My biggest criticism is that this book is only a part book with no wrap up at the end and clearly continuing into the next book which, although I know this is the first in a series, annoys me that n o conclusion is reached, too many things not explained and too much left hanging.

I have the second book downloaded already but doubt I'll ever read it as I have so many better options and I just couldn't get involved enough in the characters or the story to bother about what comes next.

I received a free copy of this audiobook either from the author or a promotion or giveaway and am voluntarily writing an honest and unbiased review.

So good that I need the next one right now!

What a cracker! I hadn't much idea what to expect when I first started this book and the first couple of chapters had me a bit unsure how I was going to get on with it. I wasn't sure it was my kind of story, but I was SO wrong! I actually squeaked out a "What?!! No!! It can't stop there! " when the closing Audible message kicked in at the end of the book. I was so into the story that I'd lost all sense of how long I'd been listening to it. The characters are great, even if there is a little wimpy voice for one of them that makes me just want to shake the character...but other than that the narration is well paced and acceptable to the ear. The plot is a bit far fetched but if you let that go and just enjoy the story for it's own merits then you won't be at all disappointed. I really enjoyed it and am off to find the next one right now I want to know what comes.next

Good story

Interesting story full of suspense and action. The story is full of twists and turns that leaves you unable to even guess who the main character can trust and each of them learns something about themselves along the way.
