Publisher's Summary

Lindsay and Kerrie Ann are sisters who have known hardship from an early age. Without guidance from their neglectful mother, their only aid came from an unlikely source, a retired exotic dancer by the name of Miss Honi Love. When the girls' mother was sent to prison, Miss Honi tried unsuccessfully to save them from being separated and sent into foster care.

Thirty years later, Lindsay is still trying to reconnect with her sister. The owner of a bookstore in the sleepy California seaside town of Blue Moon Bay, she was lucky enough to have been adopted by a loving couple. Unbeknownst to her, Kerrie Ann has suffered a very different life. Bounced from one foster home to the next, she ran away as a teenager before becoming a drug-addicted single mother. Now, newly sober, Kerrie Ann is fighting to regain custody of the little girl who was taken from her.

Neither sister's expectations are met when they're finally reunited. But as the two sisters engage in the fiercest battles of their lives, they are at last drawn together despite their differences, restoring belief in the unshakable bond of family.

Well written, suspenseful and loving

I really enjoyed reading this book. The development of the characters was excellent, the story itself was very interesting and suspenseful at times. And beautiful descriptions which made you feel like you were there, I could see the bookstore completely.

Not At All Believable

Dialogue was not realistic. Forced myself to finish the book. Would not recommend unless nothing else to read.

Stereotypical Romance Nov

Too many eye rolling moments to count. Predictable & silly. I wish I wouldn't have wasted my time.

Very Vanilla

This comes across as a made for TV movie and the reader doesn’t manage to get the inflection correct. Not rooting for anyone. Quit at chapter 3 because I couldn’t stand listening any longer.

Enjoyed story but not narration

Story line was interesting though a bit unbelievable - didn't realize it was more of a romance novel than presented. Narrator was far too chirpy/dramatic which made some of the lines seem ridiculous/corny.

Just couldn’t finish

I tried to like this book. Struggled to Chapter 7 then gave up! Story was simplistic & trite. Narration was abominable! Every voice sounded the same, like a 10 year old child trying to be dramatic... and failing! I usually never give bad reviews, but felt like it was a public service to do so this time. Save yourself! :)

Meh

Didn’t really enjoy this book. It just sort of jumped from one topic to the next. Yes they are connected, but not in any interesting way
