Of Blood and Sorrow

I was not disappointed, the storyline kept me wanting more. The characters were vividly told and welcomed into the story. The who done it captivated me to the end. Once again Ms. Wilson-Wesley has a winner. Can't wait to read more of her stories.

Loved It

I have truly enjoyed the Tamara Hayle series
Well written and engaging. The twists and turns of this specific novel had me sitting on the edge on my seat. Because I grew up in the Newark/Jersey City area the environment where the crimes took place was delightfully familiar. More Tamara Hayle please.

Excellent read!!

I am going to be seeking out further books by this writer!! Although I had hoped for a stronger protagonist, but Tamara grew on me a bit. Definitely lots of twists and turns in the story, kept me wanting more!! Narrator took a bit long between chapters and even during certain times in story.

Boomerang

When the past wants its due. Tamara knows how the past can haunt you. Yet she wasn't prepared for dealing with Lilah Love's past. This story was told from the lens of being ok with the drama that drags itself from the past. Although the ending was predictable, getting there wasn't. The twist of fate that led Tamara to the hotel was enough to keep you interested.

Great story

Loved it, second time listening. I brought back memories of certain areas of Newark, my place if birth and where I grew up.

RIVETING!

The characters are a quirky mix of our favorite African American family folk and the trauma and joy of our lives in urban communities.

The narration is brilliant, lively and dramatic inflection.

Kept me guessing to the end

Well written with interesting characters. The ending was a surprise in a good way. I wish more of this series were audio books.

Luv her books

It's a good listen while doing chores and needing a story as background involvement I found myself talking to the audiobook:)
