Publisher's Summary

This program includes an introduction read by Bill O'Reilly.

Old School is in session....

You have probably heard the term Old School, but what you might not know is that there is a concentrated effort to tear that school down.

It's a values thing. The anti–Old School forces believe the traditional way of looking at life is oppressive. Not inclusive. The Old School way may harbor microaggressions. Therefore, Old School philosophy must be diminished.

Those crusading against Old School now have a name: Snowflakes. You may have seen them on cable TV whining about social injustice and income inequality. You may have heard them cheering Bernie Sanders as he suggested the government pay for almost everything. The Snowflake movement is proud and loud, and they don't like Old School grads.

So where are you in all this?

Did you get up this morning knowing there are mountains to climb—and deciding how you are going to climb them? Do you show up on time? Do you still bend over to pick up a penny? If so, you're Old School.

Or did you wake up whining about safe spaces and trigger warnings? Do you feel marginalized by your college's mascot? Do you look for something to get outraged about, every single day, so you can fire off a tweet defending your exquisitely precious sensibilities? Then you're a Snowflake.

So again, are you drifting frozen precipitation? Or do you matriculate at the Old School fountain of wisdom?

This book will explain the looming confrontation so even the ladies on The View can understand it.

Time to take a stand. Old School or Snowflake. Which will it be?

    "Good stuff for life."

Funny, entertaining, good stuff. How to identify snowflakes and old school. Not bashing but a look at life from an old school perspective on snowflakes. I recommend for leisure reading.

    "Fabulous!!!"

I am just a little older than O'Reilly and also from Long Island. He is spot on, about everything! Loved book. I wonder how snowflake will survive when they get devoured by their non-snowflake man eaters. There are no safe spaces in the real world.

We listened while driving to Florida. Our two teenagers loved it as much as we adults did.

    "Nothing new for O'Reilly fans"

I would have enjoyed this book much more if O'Reilly did the narration, or at least narrated the parts where "he" was talking. Not sure why he decided to co-author this book with Bruce Feirstein, whose previously claim to fame comes from writing several screenplays in the James Bond series. Seemed like he was chosen to give a token liberal spin on things, although his adherence to liberal orthodoxy didn't appear quite strong. His most enjoyable contribution was the recounting of a chance encounter with Sean Connery. I purchased this book after O'Reilly was canned from his FoxNews show. This made for some ironic passages but nothing earth shaking. We didn't learn anything new about Bill or his take on life but if you're a fan, as I am, you like his reiterations and reflections on snowflakes and what it means to be "old school." Just wish he personally narrated more than his brief introduction. I bought this book on sale and would recommend that potential listeners also do so. If you don't expect a lot, you will enjoy it.

    "Loved it!"

Old School is my way and life, I just never realized until reading the book. lots of laughs, lots of touching moments and mostly clarified a life's way and dedication. I hadn't realized I was a part of such a Nobel group and I understand Hillary's loss and Trumps victory now more than ever I can only hope I have imparted a good portion of O.S. to my son and daughter. The world would be a better place. i miss my mom snd dad. Thanks Bill and Fierstein. God Bless I love that we can feel free to say that again. God Bless.

    "Great words of wisdom."

In these days there is a flood of noisemakers surrounding us and we think we're informed " We're not. This book blows away the fog of the media noise and reminds us of truth and goodness of the past.
