Publisher's summary

The demon is a mob, and the mob is demonic. The Democratic Party activates mobs, depends on mobs, coddles mobs, publicizes and celebrate mobs - it is the mob.

Sweeping in its scope and relentless in its argument, Demonic explains the peculiarities of liberals as standard groupthink behavior. To understand mobs is to understand liberals.

Demonic

A fantastic read. Ann Coulter is always insightful, and easy to read. She is one of two people who can take a complex issue and make it meaningful to anyone. The other is Rush Limbaugh.

1st book I bought by Ann Coulter, now I'm a Fan

The History in the book was very interesting, and she ties it very well into current events as she goes into the mindset of Mobs.

A must read if you care about the future of this country.

Timely Book!

Coulter is right-on! Her research is sound and she backs up her claims with facts not spin. Every serious minded thinker should read and head if they love their country and are concerned about the future of their children and grandchildren!

Awful, inappropriate narrator ...

Barely can listen to the narrator's whiny rendition, inappropriate intonations, awful! Almost as if the selection of this narrator and her performance is aiming at sabotaging the audio book.
Maybe this narrator should be matched with audio books for children under 6. But listening to her is a torture.... Beware...You will need to read it after all, don;t bother with this audio version.

To be fair to the author and her listeners, I think Ann Coulter should insist on having it rendered by a suitable professional narrator.

Essential to understanding modern politics

I have to agree with other reviewers that the narrator wasn't the best but she was adequate and the book is magnificent. Ann Coulter is often praised or attacked for her acerbic wit, which she certainly has and it appears in this book, but more than that this book provided an essential piece to my understanding of modern politics and its ideological background. To over simplify it the two primary political philosophies at work today, as they really have been throughout U.S. history and western thought since about the time of the founding of the U.S. are 1. the English school with the writings of John Locke, Edmund Burke and Adam Smith who believed in individual rights and are now usually called, in the U.S., Conservatives or Libertarians and 2. the French school with the writing of Rousseau and Robespierre, who believed in collective rights and are now usually called in the U.S., Liberals or Progressives. Most people, even those interested in or active in politics know very little about either ideological roots but the knowledge and understanding of French school is even harder to come-by. This book is about the French school: the basic philosophy, a historical tale of how they came to power in France, how adherents of this school of thought use the same techniques today to get and maintain power in the U.S. and on a broader scale how people, even more or less decent people, can be devolved to take part in horrible acts against others while shouting contradictory chants about the common good. In writing this book Ann Coulter did not assume the reader/listener has any background in the subjects covered and thoroughly explained the concepts for anyone to understand but she still was able to provide substantial new information to the reader/listener like myself who has studied, read and listened extensively about history, politics, philosophy and economics. This book is truly great and is well worth the credit/money.

Excellent and Highly Recommended by an author.

I am an author of many books myself and I can tell you that Ann Coulter's book is EXCELLENT and I HIGHLY recommend it. The research and facts in this book are outstanding and Ann must have spent a ton of time and effort to complete this book. I know that from doing extensive research on the books I have authored so I can appreciate the effort Ann put into her book. Demonic is very in-depth and covers numerous examples and facts throughout history to support her conclusions. Anyone who isn't a blind, ideological liberal moron will enjoy reading this book. You will find out how the demented liberal politicians and the leftist leaders use and manipulate the ignorant liberal brainwashed masses to follow them blindly - while they try to destroy the USA, the Constitution and undo everything the Founding Fathers put in place to protect liberty. The only people that would write negative reviews about this book will be the typical America hating liberals who are brain dead sheep that follow their liberal god leaders - like Barack Dumboma and the Dumbocrat politicians.
