American Justice

Seeing this story years ago on the Bill Kurtis program was pretty much cut and dry, he did it. I definitely believe he is guilty, so it’s strange to hear about the court proceedings in a way that insinuates he could be innocent. Over all a pretty good listen.

Questionable Justice in the Legal System

There were far too many drawn out and irrelevant details about minor characters. Nevertheless, the plot was interesting.

Stupid Murderer

I truly horrific murder of two people. Good storyline and decent performance but why writers tend to put too much inane background or court fluff into the story is beyond me. Having to continually advance through stuff that really isn't of importance, takes away from the book.

An excellent read

I thought this book was well done. I know the author shares he believes this man is innocent so I did some other research and I must say I am convinced he is innocent too. The way the jurors acted is appalling. Highly recommend!

Keeps you guessing

Well written and well read! This true sad story still has me guessing. Tom Henderson is the best with true crime.

Too much

Good story but it is drug out with unneeded and unwanted info. Very boring at times.

What really happened? Two know, only one is alive.

Would a lawyer actually be so stupid? This is a story a juvenile mind would think sounded brilliant. They can't live with or without each other. She didn't seem to hold his philandering against him. He had the best of both worlds she was his safety net if the girlfriend got too possessive. Not sure if he did it or not.

Too Many Details

I think this book could have been 3-4 hours shorter and been a better listen. The story was interesting, but once all the pre-trial and trial started it was so much back and forth between the attorneys. Way too much detail!
My heart aches for her daughter and family. So very sad.

Interesting story

A good read until the end. Listening to the portrayal of the events, I came to the opposite opinion of the author. Funny how that worked out.

held my attention from beginning to end

I dont want to ruin the book or ending. if you've read Blood in the Snow, this is nothing like that. there was no doubt in that book. I'm incredibly conflicted about this case after hearing the book. the author really did an astounding job of staying objective. read it and decide for yourself whether or not this was a miscarriage of justice.
