Publisher's summary

Following the success of her breakout poem, "B", Sarah Kay releases her debut collection of poetry featuring work from the first decade of her career. No Matter the Wreckage presents listeners with new and beloved poetry that showcases Kay's talent for celebrating family, love, travel, and unlikely romance between inanimate objects ("The Toothbrush to the Bicycle Tire"). Both fresh and wise, Kay's poetry allows listeners to join her on the journey of discovering herself and the world around her. It is an honest and powerful collection.

beautiful. pertinent. real.

Sarah Kay is the reason I am still a poet. she awoke the sleeping beast and I have not been able to write it back to sleep yet. This book is all of her best poetry, and I absolutely recommend it.

Great!!!

I've definitely been a fan of Sarah Kay for several years now and have always loved her poetry. Listening to her speak is always very soothing and I'm glad to have purchased this audiobook. While I do enjoy her live performances, I didn't like how it broke up the studio recordings of her poetry. Overall, it was still pretty fantastic!!

Sarah Kay's Spoken Word

What a gift to have Sarah's poems in her own voice. Some of these are live performances, which is incredibly special. This is the next best thing to seeing her live. I only wish the chapters were labeled with the poem names.

She is amazing with her choice of words. Her poetry is very relatable and I highly recommended listening to her share her soul with you. Beautiful person both inside and out.

Thought provoking and charming

Sarah kay never ceases to amaxe me, her spoken word poetry is one that i rarely see outside her and phil kaye's work. while most spoken word poets seek to shock with tales of violence, rape, politics, and mental disorder she manages to speak to one about the cycle of life that she first discocered at a public pool, or the way her teacher taught her how to listen to children like the future leaders they will be. sarah kay manages to make a city into a love poem without once ever having to try to shock her readers and leave them with many questions and reflections on themselves threw her words.
