Thoroughly enjoyed this book, laughed and cried.

Thoroughly enjoyed this book, I laughed and cried, and just couldn't stop listening. I would also like to add that Caroline Lee is my favorite narrator.

Brilliant! The Best Yet

So enjoyable, full of wry humour, irony and perceptive idiosyncratic observation.
Another best seller for Liane Moriarty. Many times I laughed out loud.
Caroline Lee is the perfect narrator for this book. Nicole Kidman has already
bought the movie rights

Insightful look at things that weigh people down

I was so excited to see Liane Moriarty's new book was available on Audible and Caroline Lee was narrating. I love the work of both these ladies and find Caroline Lee so easy to listen to. Liane's story delves into the personalities of more than the 9 core people. It gives insight into how the troubles of every day life play so hard on people's psyche that they are willing to accept anything to make a change to the way they are living. I found Liane addressed the issue of suicide so well by examining the far reaching effects it has on the related characters in this story. The idea of being transformed was made even more interesting by Liane incorporating some rather interesting techniques into the story.

I could not stop listening to this book it was so good. I laughed and at times cried with the highly believable characters and a really funny story line. I rate this as one of Liane's best! Highly recommended.

Extraordinary experience reading this book

Although it often takes me a few chapters to settle into each new book (and this was no exception), this novel took me to very unexpected places. A mixture of funny, shocking, tender, very sad, thought provoking, gratifying, heart-warming, heart-breaking, complex-yet-simple, laugh out loud stuff, tongue-in-cheek, deadly serious and just totally brilliantly put together writing. I have loved all your books, Liane, and it’s hard to compare, but I think this may have been your best to date. Of course, you may never read your reviews ;-).
I loved all the characters. They were so real and engaging. And I loved that we were given such beautiful snapshots of the future of the key characters. Sooooo satisfying!!
I feel as though I’ve just spent some time in a life-changing health spa, and met s few new friends along the way. Which is brilliant since I’m on stress leave, and this has been an interesting factor in my own journey to recovery.
Top marks to Liane, and to Caroline too. You bring Lianes books to life for us listeners. Faultless expression, very effective pauses, inflections and accents.
Brilliant book. There are parts that might be very difficult if you have experienced similar issues in your family (no spoilers because I don’t think it’s necessary). But stay on the journey. You may well feel that some new insights are available. They were for me.

Another great book by Liane Moriarty

Fabulous read, gripping from the start. Took me on a journey from dying to immediately book a health retreat to vouching to never try it in my life. A great insight into people’s psychology, as always. However, whilst I find Liane’s books appealing in how they are usually so true to life, so realistic, I thought the plot went out of these boundaries this time. I understand Nicole Kidman is involved in making a movie based on the book. It reads a bit like a movie. The twist of the plot took over the contents which I usually enjoy much more. Still an excellent book, fabulous research and many hours of fun.

Phoned it in.

I've listened to all Liane Moriarty's books and would encourage everyone to look for them. Not this one. Leave this alone. It's tedious. Too much sitting in one room together going on and on. I think she was under pressure to produce something new for Hollywood. It's a shame, her books are usually so reliable. I've given a reasonable rating to Caroline Lee because although she's not to my taste, she's always competent. I know people love her but I always feel I'm being read to by a 12 year old child.

Painful narration

Sorry Caroline Lee, but your narration was dreadful. Inauthentic accents, too many pregnant pauses and the whining!
This was my first Liane Moriarty and probably my last. Definitely not my cup of tea.

A slow, boring predictable book

I was so disappointed by this book. Whilst I didn’t expect a fascinating piece of fiction by Moriarty, but rather just a light read, I was surprised by the mediocrity of this book. As a friend stated when discussing the book, it is as though Moriarty has just quickly pumped out a book to meet a deadline with little thought on the characters, limited plot development and no creativity. I don’t usually persevere through a book which I dislike so much but kept hoping that the story would develop. It did not.
