Ferrazzi's form of connecting to people is based on generosity, helping friends connect with other friends. He distinguishes genuine relationship-building from the crude, desperate glad-handling usually associated with "networking". In the course of the book, Ferrazzi outlines the timeless strategies shared by the world's most connected individuals, from Katherine Graham to Bill Clinton, Vernon Jordan to the Dalai Lama.
Chock full of specific advice on handling rejection, getting past gatekeepers and more, Never Eat Alone is destined to take its place as an inspirational classic.

Though it probably wasn't his intent. I can see why I get randomly spammed on LinkedIn.
His complete approach seems very effective, ethical and respectful.
Unfortunately, I think people take only the easy parts and apply it such that it's immediately transactional instead of relationship building as the author intended.
honestly some of his ideas are either dated or completely debunked 19 years later when I listened to this book.
It's worth listening to for some very specific ways to build relationships, especially with those you don't know, or to deepen the ones you do know.
All that's said,vI honestly think it wasn't that great. It had a tone of overconfidence that comes with people who have been successful doing what they're doing rather than understanding whether it would be more universally applicable.
well, I think most or all of it could be applied. It needs to be updated by the author & / or reworked by the reader.
So it's less useful than other books that are timeless because The authors had a better understanding of human psychology and behavior.
Certain parts seemed very much to be generating public image which isn't especially authentic.
3.5 Stars - while it's a good book, I've certainly listen to better.

Maybe I wanted a different narrator at the start, but within the first chapter I was wowed by the whole experience of this download.
