I loved it because of its core principle but not because of his 10X dreaming.

10x is a nice idea and it's great to have a vision, but the research shows that more you're more likely to stay motivated and achieve something if it's challenging but realistic rather than pie in the sky.

There's nothing wrong with having a pie in the sky vision or trajectory as long as you know it's What you're heading toward rather than a specific day. When you arrive at that day of you still haven't achieved it. You'll likely feel crushed because you have " failed " by your own definition.

Conversely, if it's a trajectory, you haven't failed as long as you're progressing towards it.

more revelations than in any other business book

You would think you understand what this book is going to be about whenever you see the title, and yes it holds true to the theme. But it gives you so much more than what You would think you'd get out of a business book like this.

this is not your run-of-the-mill book about delegating and outsourcing and going to the beach. this literally is a guidebook that entrepreneurs at all stages can benefit from. amazing exercises

Actionable Steps

I have been an entrepreneur for 17 years and I feel like I just won the lottery with this book. Each chapter revealed new concepts for me to bring into my growing empire and helped me rediscover my passion for the work I do.

I especially appreciated how Dan incorporated relevant stories of how Buy Back Your Time improves quality time with family. My two daughters work with me and I have felt that our time outside of work is spent talking about work. I look forward to creating a new life with my kids and grandkids that is separate from work.
