Bounty hunter Stephanie Plum is back. The brassy babe in the powder blue Buick has been given the unpopular task of finding Mo Bedemier, Trenton's most beloved citizen, arrested for carrying a concealed weapon, gone no-show for his court appearance. Once again, the entire One for the Money crew is in action, searching for Mo, tripping down a trail littered with dead drug dealers, leading Stephanie to suspect Mo may be in over his head.

Typical Stephanie Plum novel

This is a typically light, fun, and somewhat crude Stephanie Plum murder mystery by Janet Evanovich. The formula works. CJ Critt is an outstanding narrator.

HYSTERICAL AND A GOOD MYSTERY

My husband was wondering what the hell I was listening to. I laughed out loud often. He'd look at me and I would have to replay that part of the story, he agreed, it was funny. The Narrator was perfect for the main and secondary characters. I kept putting off Stephanie Plum, I am savoring every bit of her crazy life now.

Thee to Get Deadly

This was a good story, as usual, for Janet Evanovich. The narrator has changed from previous books. This took away from the story for me. Critt tried and did a decent job, but the voice used for Ranger made him sound like an adult special needs person, not a hunk. The voice used for the Grandmother was also lacking. Instead of a quirky old lady with outrageously funny comments, she now sounds like an old smoker making odd comments that don't match her voice.

UNABRIDGED - thank you thank you thank you

I can't believe it took so long for us to get the unabridged version of books 2 & 3. It was well worth the credit. Cant wait for the unabridged version of book 1.

Stephanie is hilarious!

Would you consider the audio edition of Three to Get Deadly to be better than the print version?

Always is...

Who was your favorite character and why?

Lula! she is soooo funny....and trouble finds her just like Stephanie....

Have you listened to any of C. J. Critt’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

just the Stephanie books...and she is really good...

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

It made me laugh a LOT!!!!! this was a really funny one....

Any additional comments?

I love Stephanie Plum, and sure I will read more of these books..its a light fun read, and interesting from beginning to end!

Funny and entertaining

The earlier books featuring Stephanie Plum were excellent. They are funny, entertaining and had some of the best characters around. I have read more than twenty of the books in this series by now, and they went down hill after about the ninth or tenth book. They are no longer fun - they are irritating. This series should have wrapped up long ago. But the first few books are so good that I have to recommend them. Once you see that the story is growing old, just stop there because it does not get better. In the meantime, listen at least the fist five books and you will be highly entertained

Wrong Narrator

I have read this book and enjoyed it very much, so I thought that I would purchase an audio of it. Unfortunately the choice in narrator took so much away from it that I stopped listening after the first 20 minutes. I was very disappointed with C. J. Critt. However, I may purchase the latest audio narratoed by Janet Evanovich herself.

Meh

I really like Lorelei King as Stephanie Plum. I bought Two for the Dough and didn't think it was too bad and so I purchased this book. I almost stopped listening. I did not enjoy anything about this one. All the male characters sounded the same and her female voices weren't much better. I wish that whoever is in charge would just have King read the first seven (?) unabridged books in the series.
