One mission...countless enemies.
Former mercenary Sonja Kurtz is hired by business tycoon Julia Clyde-Smith to head an elite squad. Their aim: to take down Africa's top poaching kingpins and stop at nothing to save its endangered wildlife. But as the body count rises, it becomes harder for Sonja to stay under the radar, and she is targeted by an underworld syndicate known as The Scorpions.
When her love interest, safari guide and private investigator Hudson Brand, is employed to look into the death of an alleged poacher at the hands of Sonja's team, she is forced to ask herself if Julia's crusade has gone too far. From South Africa's Kruger National Park to the Serengeti of Tanzania, Sonja realises she is fighting a war on numerous fronts, against enemies known and unknown. So whom can Sonja really trust?
The narration wasn't that good, sometimes confusing as to where one character finished and another started - the full stop at the end of a sentence is there for a reason. Also I found the consistent mispronunciation of certain words annoying. Also the story in itself was somewhat marred, in my opinion anyway, by quite graphic sex scenarios - really didn't add anything to the story.
Thanks Tony and Simone. I had the pleasure of listening while driving from Adelaide to Brisbane. Another marvellous story, Tony, and it was great to hear all those African voices, and mention of those places I've been lucky enough to visit.
A small request......there's no third 'i' in mischievous! Please forgive my language nerdiness!
