Publisher's summary

It begins with a floater.

When Minneapolis homicide cops Rolseth and Magozzi are called to a derelict stretch of the Mississippi River, they see a bride, facedown, dead in the water. And when the Monkeewrench crew – computer geeks who made a fortune on games, now assisting the cops with special anticrime software – are invited by the FBI to investigate a series of murder videos posted to the Web, it’s not long before the group discovers the frightening link between the unlucky bride and the latest, most horrific use of the Internet yet. Using their skills to scour the Net to prevent more killings, the team must race against the clock…before it’s too late.

Shoot to Thrill

This is number 5 in the Monkeywrench series. This is a mother-daughter team who now both live in Minnesota, and the crimes in their books mostly take place in Minnesota. These books involve two sets of characters, the four computer wizzards called Mokeywrench, who can break any code and help the cops and FBI at every turn, and two Minneapolis cops who have worked with them. In this book, Monkeywrench and the law must find out who is killing people who some might argue deserve to be killed. In each case, the murder shows up totally filmed on the internet, and, to make it worse, the murderer, or murderers, send out an advertisement in advance on the web saying who will be next. If you haven't read the first four, you might want to start at least with the first one, Monkeywrench, also available through audible.

Another thrilling installment!

I love this series!

Great mystery with great characters. Leo and Gino and the guys at the precinct have a fun back and forth, and the Monkeewrench gang always make me laugh. Grace and Leo continue to make baby steps towards a more solid relationship, kind of a necessity with Grace's background and trust issues.

Love Buck Schirner's performance and comedic timing.

Glad they are back

Excellent to have another PJ Tracy book. Also good to have Buck Schirner back as author, though he did change some of the original voices.

Not Enough Grace

I enjoyed the book, but I didn’t get enough focus on the actual Monkeewrench gang.

Great mystery book

I don't think the voice actor was the correct choice for the series I think a female VA would have been better. the story was great. though I felt I was getting beat over the head woth the whole "hard boiled cop" thing. Once the story gets going though it is great, old cops struggling with a whole new world is an entertaining time

exhausting trying to follow this storyline

Would you try another book from P. J. Tracy and/or Buck Schirner?

No

Has Shoot to Thrill turned you off from other books in this genre?

No, but I probably won't get another one from 'this writer

Who would you have cast as narrator instead of Buck Schirner?

I don't know, but this narrator was way wrong for this book. His voice is much too old sounding which made the characters come across as tired and way older than they really were, and he definitely should NEVER EVER try to do a woman's voice again!

Any additional comments?

This storyline was all over the place and very hard to follow. There were too many characters which became very confusing. All I could do to get through this book, couldn't finish it. Would return it if i could.

Not the best Monkeewrench Book

I love the earlier books but this one was just not the same quality. I would not spend money for it. Love the narrator - the last book used a different narrator who was awful.
