Great story but could use less sex

Melinda Leigh is a spectacular story teller. I love how she weave a mystery. The only way she could improve the books is to take out the sex nonsense - I do not need to hear explicit details about other people’s sex.

Young Adult novel

I enjoyed the writing and the story overall. However, at times I wondered if I was reading an adult mystery or a young adult book written for hormonal teenagers. Seriously, enough is enough with huge biceps and tight asses.

Another great mystery

Even though the narration is mediocre, the story isn't. With plenty of suspects and plot twists and turns, She Can Tell is a great listen.

My favorite series

This is the second audiobook I heard.
I loved the text version books of Melinda Leigh and tried an audio version.
The story is really captivating.
I would recommend to people who like crime solving stories with women as main character.

Overall, this audiobook was nice and narrator's character distinction was ok.

Worst narrator ever!!

I could have enjoyed this book but they picked the wrong narrator. Books with only one narrator need narrator's who can mimic both male and female voices, which Elizabeth Pike could not do. I had a hard time figuring out who was talking to who and getting irritated because all the male voices were feminine. The story itself was ok although it was easy to figure out who the villain was.

An Ordinary Performance

The performance was a bit limiting. It was hard most of the time to differentiate the characters voices.

Good suspense and likable characters.

I usually like Melinda Leigh books and this one is no different, although I did guess who the baddie was in this story early on. Maybe I’m getting too familiar with her writing style, lol. I admit I’m not a big fan of the detailed multiple sexual encounters that are always in her books, but fast forward is there for a reason and I don’t let that stop me from enjoying a good novel. The narrator was just kinda “meh” but I’ve heard worse. I guess maybe she just didn’t come across vocally as a tough gal when it was needed. She tended to voice the main character as somewhat girly and slightly timid, which the character was not, so some better vocal variations would have been helpful.
