Story
When a child goes missing the amount of resources that authorities use is substantial. Abduction cases are taken very seriously by all of the parties involved. None more so than by Chase Grant, a detective in Seattle's 18th precinct. The clock starts the moment he gets the call from a parent, and the first 12 hours are crucial. Every move counts, and every choice matters. If he missteps, then a child might not come home. But today was different.

The scarf that has been all over the news, belonging to a dead young woman with honey-coloured hair. I have to speak to the police before my husband can. I’m drifting in and out of consciousness, but when I hear my wife talking to the police, accusing me of the murder of an innocent woman, a cold fear grips me. I know I’ve got a temper.

Jazz Bashara is a criminal. Well, sort of. Life on Artemis, the first and only city on the moon, is tough if you're not a rich tourist or an eccentric billionaire. So smuggling in the occasional harmless bit of contraband barely counts, right? Not when you've got debts to pay and your job as a porter barely covers the rent. Everything changes when Jazz sees the chance to commit the perfect crime, with a reward too lucrative to turn down.

Is the quest for revenge and justice over?? It seems so, but I have the distinct feeling the author means to torture the reader further in another suspenseful story. Stay tuned. I will. I voluntarily listened to a free copy of this and am giving an honest review. The narrator did a great job bringing it to life
